"This is a game where you play as a Chinese newborn and grow up until the university entrance exams (Gaokao). Along the way, you face the unique hardships of being an Asian kid, and the game has a very fun way of showing it. It's a highly entertaining game with a great concept behind it, and I love how you can keep playing as your own child. 8/10 game. Recommended.2 found this helpful
addicting game about strict parents it makes me relive some of my school life even though i am European1 found this helpful
Confusing at first and took four generations for me to feel satisfied, but interesting and addictive. I came in not knowing about the progressive generations, so that was a delightful surprise, especially since I was not satisfied with my first playthrough and figured I'd have to replay anyway. Raising stats to qualify for your ideal ending is genuinely challenging. Even though I appreciate more career paths and characters unlocking after each generation, I stopped after the fifth because at that point I was able to attain decent careers and successful marriages, plus clicking on different colors got repetitive. I like the humor in the writing throughout, though I wish there was more depth to the story and conversations with the love interests — feels like a missed opportunity. Also wish some context was provided for non-Chinese players in certain cases like when receiving the university admission letter. Overall a flawed but fun game! P.S. The best part was I could have a pet cat! It was heartbreaking to watch him age. Toothpaste, you will always be loved.
:)
Fun child-raising game. You follow your little blorbo from newborn up to university entrace exam. After each run, you can start over a new generation with some bonuses (kinda like a new game+) but the game gets repetitive pretty quickly, so I don't think it's really worthy.
