Honestly, kind of disappointed in the game, especially in some of the very very strange results depending on honor stats and the like I had a kind and honorable man, who was attempting to push how evil another man's father was supposed to be The response? "Ha X, you're far too nice to try that kinda thing." My brother in Christ you don't have to be mean to prove people being evil

TERRIBLE. DO NOT BUY. EVEN ON SALE I've played quite a few text games, and I've got to say this one has to be one of the most frustrating ones. In the past, I've disliked certain text games because maybe the genre and setting weren't to my liking, which is fair enough, and I would not write a bad review about those, as it's just a matter of preference. In this case however, it was not a matter of me disliking the genre or setting. It was instead because of the EXTREMELY frustrating writing / choices / flow of the story. Events seem to happen almost at random and the player's available choices are also usually a terrible selection, where common sense choices you would hope are available are missing. Things do not build open previous things either, with events of the past feeling very disjointedly connected to the present. The story is weird and inconsistent too, like the main villain can call a court case against you, even though you did nothing, and you can barely avoid repurcussions, but he literally attacks you unprovoked and you cannot even take any intiative and retaliate against him through force / legal means?? As someone into icelandic history this game is insightful and super fun <3

Really enjoyed this! Not your typical viking story but well written, engaging and fun links to viking mythology throughout.

Do you want to play as a viking? Do all of the cool things you have heard of a viking doing? Well, wait no more! What? Hold on... Seriously?... Okay, after speaking with my advisor, you may want to wait some more. This is more about being a farmer in Iceland, and having to make sure you give time of day to the mentally ill LGBTQ+ABCDEFG crowd (which very much was not a thing in the depicted times, questioning your genitals and what they mean is very much a 21st century problem). An whenever you get away from that, the writing is just boring. How in the Hell do you take one of the most romanticized and/or vilified peoples in history and somehow turn them into this slop? 2/10, only because at least they managed to figure out the correct spelling on things.
