Christmas Cats Revenge is a template flip from Anamik Majumdar, who keeps reskinning the same lame GameMaker Studio game templates and re-releasing it on Steam with a few minor changes. The GameMaker Studio templates he keeps re-releasing are just basic retro pixel (couldn't he rip off a template with proper graphics??) 2D top down/platformer stealth/action games. He's copied and pasted his 2D platformer template for this asset flip. A wildly great game that unfortunately lived up to the hype I got from the fanbase. It’s a fairly open-ended metroidvania which creates awesome experiences into a sense of adventure. It does get bogged down a little from having to retrace your steps a lot, but the highs are crack levels of entertainment. It was Eureka moment after Eureka moment. There are a bashful amount of secrets that pulls a unique immersion in the game. You will find secret passages, different ways to attack enemies, and characters that the devs did not make to be found - but to be discovered. The added content to the game really fleshes it out to the point where it’s difficult to know how much there is. Beating this game the first time shows you nearly every pillar of gameplay, but only a fraction of the bosses and zones. I learned that I took very different routes and used different strategies for most bosses before beating the game compared to others yet it felt like a totally fleshed out experience. This, in my opinion, is the epitome of a cult classic game. It´s a typical result of a game programming learning experience. Controls are very inpredictable, Game is very hard because you are forced to get every christmas Package before you are allowed to leave the level. I hardly would spend one Euro for this... but 5 Euro. No. No. No. Thankfully it was an additional Indie Game in some indie Bundle. Avoid this. You can get so much better games for 5 Euro.

The least offensive of this guy's Christmas games, and I couldn't last more then a few minutes without having to stop. The characters twitch like they are having a seizure, the music is deafening, and the controls make me feel like I am trying to move a fridge on a dolly. The fact that the creator asks money for this game is offensive.
