I assumed anything this ♥♥♥♥♥♥-looking must have been made by a single person, and I wanted to support indie devs. Turns out Kemco farted it out and abandoned it. There are vague indications that someone involved in developing it cared about its quality, but they're pretty well buried under mediocre combat and tone-deaf writing.8 found this helpful
This is one of the better Kemco RPGs. The fantasy military setting is cool, and the game's systems work well enough. I enjoyed the ability to choose different jobs for the characters. The game was never hard, but it wasn't as brainlessly easy as some Kemco RPGs are. However, this game has a REALLY high random encounter rate. Even back in the day, most RPGs didn't have this many random encounters. Thankfully, the combat system is sort of fun. The story is fine, and the story scenes are mercifully short.3 found this helpful
I bought this on mobile and finish it as it quickly became one of my few favorite Kemco titles, its not that deep and great if you compare it to known RPG back in the SNES era but this RPG is still solid for an indie title. What I love about it are the characters, the gameplay sucks but still enjoyable just that the random encounter is too high not to mention the side story dungeons are hateful. On to Topic: Chrome Wolf is about a story of warfare, Humans and Unicornians live in harmony with a declaration but was never met and so started a civil war due to discrimination and slavery, story starts with Kruz a soldier along with his friends then comes the first mission where they saw a slaughter of a village leaving him questioning if it was right or wrong. What I like about Chrome wolf is that characters aren't OP since they use logic, it shows quickly from the start of the game, you refuse to listen the order to kill a villager? Then off with your head for insubordination. It also doesn't shy with dark themes about the war from slavery, experiments and responsibilities. MC is that dense straight proper guy but in fact he is quite likeable due to the colorful cast of members he…2 found this helpful
