Chuck Bonesteel & The Alien Apocalypse

This game is fun and stupid, in a good way. It's also very frustrating. Most runs last less than 5 or 10 minutes. Over 3 hours in, and I've yet to save anyone. Grinding for money to upgrade is annoyingly slow, and each upgrade feels like it doesn't do much. I'm hoping eventually I can accomplish something, and see what happens if I save people, or if later levels offer anything more than just more of the enemies in level 1. I'm enjoying it because it feels like a quarter-munching old arcade machine from my youth, except that with enough time and effort I can spend in-game currency to suck a bit less. I wouldn't recommend it for most people, but if that sounds good to you, then give it a go. It doesn't cost much, and I feel I've gotten $5 worth of entertainment out of it.

Super fun with chunky combat and arcade vibes. Upgraded my mullet several times!
