Classic Sport Driving

I have very mixed feelings By looking on the screenshots you expect something with arcade gameplay (like outrun), but this game is much more serious. The races are too long. The menu system is terrible. The game runs on a steam deck, but you have to tweak TDP because it eats CPU.

Neither does it have unique aspects of its own or is fun to play. You're better off playing Horizon Chase Turbo, Horizon Chase 2, Slipstream and Victory Heat Rally instead. [h1] Positives [/h1] + Good aesthetics and graphics. [h1] Negatives [/h1] - There's only one vehicle to pick from. - Locations aren't interesting to look at. - Repetitive soundtrack. It also sounds nothing like what the trailer has. - Barebones campaign mode barely makes you feel like you're making progress. - Poor driving controls. It feels like your vehicle can suffer from understeer, even when it's a long turn.

I don't enjoy it. On the surface its a nice game. I like the art style, the sound design is nice and it has a fairly clean UI. The game brings back nostalgia for similar games of my youth. Yet it doesn't feel good to play. The cars don't handle like cars. There are frequently corners that the vehicles simply can't make and the player isn't able to see the road ahead of them to any meaningful degree. The game seems to regard the track gradually sloping upward to obscure the player's ability to plan ahead as a feature, not an extremely irritating oversight. Not for me.

Sweet little retro-racer, reminds me of "Lotus Esprit - Turbo Challenge 1 - 3". Seeing so much potential here. Maybe some day I can turn of some of those many UI elements (like the lines on the road) or choose between three cars. But as a small package, it is fine. The music really draws you in. Thank you a lot, i really like it!

Extremely barebones racing game about worth its price; the very few things it decided to do, it did quite well, but then it started getting more and more difficult with seemingly no reward for it, and so it wiped off what little positive emotions I had about this game. It is an imitation of Super Scaler games like Lotus Turbo Challenge and the likes. You do time trials over linear tracks which, besides your own car, also have traffic which looks exactly like your car and which act like nothing more than obstacles which occasionally swerve in your way, and nitro boosters which immediately give your car a short boost, and roadside obstacles like trees and stones and turn markers. Yeah, that's it. The first couple of tracks can be beaten with three stars basically without even lifting your foot from the gas pedal, but in the closer you get to the last cup, the more careful you have to be while entering the corners. Which would be a fine progression, except the game is either really, really bad about letting you know about the turn coming, or there was a deliberate decision to make the corners obscured from your view. I have been enjoying the game so far, however if I want to give it constructive criticism there are a few things to point out. -The in game UI needs to be a bit more user friendly. It's a little rough to navigate around it and figure out where to go to start a race. -There needs to be a tutorial mode to get used to the controls. I expected the game to be more arcade like with a "pick up and play" feel, but the controls take some time to master. it feels like trying to play Out Run, but with Gran Turismo controls and physics. It would also help if there was an option to adjust the car's steering and handling if possible. That or being given the option to choose other vehicles. -There needs to be a settings option to optimize the game for better performance, especially on low end PCs. Running it on a Core i5 laptop it works well, displaying at least 30FPS, but not enough to achieve 60FPS. At times I have noted frame dips and the screen freezing during gameplay. Performance would have worked better if the game had the option to lower the resolution and display windowed mode instead of forcing full screen. The game has a lot of potential.
