✦ AI summary

Players praise Clonizer for its inventive mechanics that set it apart from typical deckbuilders, with engaging map control, unit management, and diverse planet variety that makes the 15+ hours feel worthwhile. However, several players criticize the difficulty balancing, particularly with the building-focused game mode, and note that the unconventional card mechanics—like healing through max HP reduction—feel awkward and don't support meaningful combo strategies, with many preferring to simply use strong individual cards rather than building cohesive themed decks.

After playing this game for about 15 hours I can definitely say I have gotten my moneys worth. The games biggest strength is the very inventive game mechanics - I've played many turn-basedd roguelites and I've never played one like this. There is also lots of variety in the various planet types, interesting enemies and mission goals. So overall I can recommend this game quite strongly. My only issue is with the difficulty balancing for one of the two major game variations. I beat both modes on hard difficulty, but I was only able to complete the one that uses buildings by save scumming (you can exit and restart a planet without penalty). I found the buildings to be very ineffective and in at least one run I got lots of building modifiers and not one building card.

Instead of pitting you against enemies room after room, it has you play on the map, summoning units and completing objectives. Clonizers is a weird mix of unit management, map control and deckbuilding and it works. With only 3 energy per turn and periodic attacks you'll be consistently assessing how to best spend your resources, which units to upgrade, and how to build your deck. It's not terribly deep, but feels tactically satisfying nonetheless. The boss fights also have unique mechanics making each an interesting fight. That said, it does has some shortfalls. Slow unlocks and limited card pool means fewer variety between runs. The different starting decks are simply not distinct enough from each other, although there are two ships to play as, each with their own set of cards (like characters in StS). All in all, Clonizer is a worthy pick up that adds refreshing new way to play a deckbuilder. Bonus: I wan…

TLDR: graphics and genre is good, but weird gameplay this card game got unique genre, but everything feel so weird for a card player in order to heal, need to cut max hp and i dont find any significant combo that can break/meta the game, it does have some keyword theme for different playstyle, but in my exp, none of the keyword theme work at all, most of them just contaminate and jam the deck i simply meta the game by using strong card in math, basically no combo/deck-theme inside
