tl;dr: Too unfinished to recommend to most people. Development too slow. Can be worth it if you manage your expectations and expect some disappointment. [b]Criticisms on the Farming Sim aspect:[/b] "Equal parts farming simulator & turn-based RPG." Ehhhhh not really. As of right now, the game is 80% turn-based RPG dungeon-crawler. And the dungeon-crawling is the only part of the game that has had any content added to it in 5+ years. The farming sim feels very out-of-place. It reminds me of someone's unfinished flash game from years ago. It also feels very directionless and disconnected from the rest of the game. There are no meaningful gameplay loops that feed into the dungeon crawling, the town, or the narrative. They feel like separate games that are fighting against each other, rather than ones that complement the other. I don't really have much hope for that aspect improving meaningfully in the future. Believe me, I would LOVE to be proven wrong. But it feels like the way the two main systems are implemented are fundamentally incompatible without a massive overhaul. The game that wants all of Stardew valley's accord, acclaim and fame with none of the motivation to deliver: It's been six years guys be for real: just like yansim the devs farm out content on patreon and neglect the roadmap. The art is nice but gets tedious when its the only thing you've looked at for years. What was the last creature released? The Crab? Chimera? who knows, who cares at this point. Version 1.0 (release) was supposed to be in 2025 according to the roadmap they announced in 2023. Listen, I get it, things change. Hiccups happen, alright alright, however... Did you guys know this game was "originally" a game called breeding season and back in 2016 the lead artist left the project and moved everything over to Cloud Meadow as a rebrand of sorts. so, arguably it has been OVER TEN YEARS. This game is.. weird. It's part Cozy game like Stardew Valley where you manage a farm and produce and socialise with the community, part top-down isometric dungeon crawler with JRPG combat mechanics, all wrapped up in a cutesy pastel coloured pixelart aesthetic. ... And there's sex. ... And it all just [i]works?[/i] I occasionally find myself replaying it just for the vibes alone. It's not bad! That said, there are some dungeons that (last time I played) have issues like invisible walls where you wouldn't expect them to be, or specific maps that can be a bit difficult to navigate due to janky pathing or graphics not quite making sense. These may have already been fixed by the time of this review though.

I've only played for 3 hours. In that 3 hours, I: Spent 46 minutes trying to find what to do/where a quest was taking me. I spent 3-4 in-game days doing that (roughly?). Then I had to delete that save because I don't think being on day 4 early ingame morning was necessarily a good start, and while being lost on the first quest... I made a new save. Apparently, the Introduction button was the literal introduction to the game and basic functions, aswell as pointers & guidance to quests I was originally lost on. But the Introduction button is one: optional, and two: not very explicit on what it literally says. And three: Very inconveniently placed, and very easy to miss. So the next 2 or so hours I spent trying to get further in the game. I get my first and second egg. I fight cats. I wait for my eggs to hatch. Well, apparently, while yes, the eggs hatch on in-game time.. but it's ACTIVE in-game time. Meaning: You can't exactly sit and do nothing, but you can't move around and talk to random NPC's until they hatch, because the timer doesn't go down unless you're A: Not in a menu, B: not in any sort of dialogue, and C: Not in battle.
