Improves on every single aspect of stardew valley. Incredibly polished and full of QOL features that take the fat out of most farming sims and just deliver fun.

I. Absolutely. Love. This. Game. It's a quintessential farming game, with most of the same mechanics you'd imagine one to have. But also with +80% of the quality of life upgrades you wish farming games normally had. It's also very aesthetic, lots of customization (and lots of room for future decorative updates/mods) I also love the sheer amount of dialogue with the villagers. Having multiple different interactions per time of day/things they are doing/reactions to events or romances, etc. I also like the pacing of said writing in the heart events with romanceable characters, because it takes into consideration the natural progression of the game. The festivals you've probably seen at that point, the season you are probably in, and so forth. And people react! You get missing puzzle pieces of the lore from gossiping with the townsfolk and it's a blast. Also there's DND on fridays! Only cons: - the beekeeping/bugkeeping requiring random items every time is not great. If you don't have the item they want/hard to get, stops being worth it for a single jar of honey (if only they made it an occasional thing for a special bonus/progression, or they just require to be fed every…

I've played other games in this genre and this is by far my favorite. An issue I've had in similar games is not knowing what to do. However, with the request board offering short and long term goals as well as things like the mines having stopping points it's difficult to run out of things to do. I also appreciate how alive the townspeople feel with their many lines of dialogue, unique character animations and seasonal/situational outfits. (A personal favorite being Celine's reading animation) I'm not very far in so my opinion might change but for the moment I'm having a lot of fun and would recommend the game to others interested in the style!

very cozy game, already played in early access. I feel like the characters are well written, you pretty much always feel rewarded for what you do and it has many QoL features that I missed in other games :) Highly recommend it, it is very well worth the price. A lot of content and devs said they plan on updating it even more after the now full release

This game had an amazingly polished early access period and I've only had a positive experience with the full launch. The art style is amazing, the characters are fun and the story is interesting. The gameplay loop is enjoyable and progression is not too fast but also not too slow. I'd recommend this to anyone who is interested in a farming/life sim.
