I could be tripping on acid and I'd still hate this low effort franchise.

Coloring Game: Little City is a very simple relaxing game built around coloring pictures by numbers. Instead of giving me a normal drawing program, it gives me small isometric scenes based around life in a little city. I pick a picture, find the numbered areas and fill them with the correct colours until the whole scene is complete. There is not really a complicated game hiding underneath it, and I think that is actually the point. It is something I can open when I want to slow down and do something that does not require much thinking. The isometric style is probably the part I enjoy most. The pictures are designed to look a bit like small computer game environments, with buildings, shops, streets and other little details that gradually become more interesting as I fill them in. Watching an empty looking picture turn into a finished colourful scene gives me a small sense of progress every time. I also like that the pictures are not just abstract patterns. They require a lot of patience because of the many colors, making them a real challenge to complete. It is an excellent choice for anyone who loves precision and a calm atmosphere.

You simply need to be cautious and select the appropriate squares, matching them with the colors and symbols on the map. There are no fearsome monsters, no devious tax collectors, no falling celestial bodies, the only potential hazard is perhaps a slight dizziness from the sudden transformation of the roofs from gray to a vibrant pink. As you fill in those blank spaces, the virtual world comes to life. Tiny vehicles begin to move about, and warm lights illuminate through those windows. It's quite fascinating.
