MANDAGON

I thought *Mendagon* was just another short indie horror game with a creepy atmosphere and some strange imagery. I was wrong. The graphics are simple, but somehow every location feels like it has a story behind it. The gameplay is simple too. You explore, solve puzzles, and try to understand what exactly is happening around you. But the less the game explains, the more you want to know. There are moments where you're walking through a quiet, almost peaceful environment, and then you notice something that feels completely wrong. You stop. You look at it again. And suddenly the entire place feels different. What I love most is how *Mendagon* doesn't constantly tell you what to be afraid of. It lets the atmosphere do the work. The strange environments, unsettling sounds, and mysterious events slowly build a feeling that something is deeply wrong. And when you finally start putting the pieces together, it becomes more than just a horror game. It's a story about loss, memory, and the things people carry with them. I've played horror games with better graphics, bigger worlds, and far more obvious scares. I don't remember most of them. I'll remember …

It is a great indie game, but it is just missing something important. The game has lovely graphics and mechanics are okay, but it is just endless climbing with pretty much nothing mind blowing. The music was nice, though. I think it is worth the one hour it takes to beat the game. 6/10

Pretty good and quick game. Nice and peaceful with a deeper lore.

A very pleasant exploration platformer. The story, if I'm not mistaken, is about a father and his daughter - and without spoiling anything - I really loved how the game allowed you, through hints acquired from totems, to piece it together on your own. Simple and pure. The scenery is beautiful, but I do think it could use some lore about the place you're traversing. The story, on the other hand, not allowing you to see the resolution of your problem is probably one of the best ways it could end. The last part will make sense once you've played through the game yourself.
