COMBOTRONICA

[i]COMBOTRONICA[/i] is a stylish roguelike score-chaser where you chain colored, numbered tiles together on a small grid, build up multipliers, and try to push your score high enough to survive a series of stages and boss fights. It sounds simple, but it actually isn’t and as you try to master the gameplay, you realize you lose track of the time completely. [i]COMBOTRONICA[/i] has a very similar structure to [i]Balatro[/i]. To progress to the next league, you need to beat four stages, each with four levels of increasing target scores and, last of which will always be a boss fight. Unlike in Balatro, the first two levels of each stage can't be skipped, therefore you won’t have any opportunity to rush ahead to the boss fight. Each boss slaps a specific restriction on your run, like forbidding a certain tile color or blocking a direction of connection, and the moment you think you've settled into a comfortable strategy and rhythm is exactly when the game decides to pull the rug out. The core mechanic is very simple: you have a 3×3 grid of numbered, colored tiles, and you build chains by connecting tiles with the same color, number, or that have a number already in your current chain…

An incredibly addictive game! The game features a clear tutorical and does not require any advanced knowledge, making it easy to get into. The amulets and tokens are a really interesting mechanic- there seems to be an endless variety of them, and the many combinations you can create keep the gameplay engaging and addictive. Thanks to the developer for such a great debut! I highly recommend this game to everyone.

Really really cool game. Wasn't sure this was my sort of thing but it has the perfect mix of puzzle and replayability. The beginning feels a bit confusing but roll with it, the game does teach you everything you need to know and before long you'll be smashing through levels.

Upd: Игра супер. Преклоняюсь перед лидерами в таблице результатов. Я так понимаю, что игра умерла. В пике играло не более 10 человек. Необходимых QoL апдейтов нет, таких как изменение скорости подсчета или его пропуск, настроек для дальтоников, возможность посмотреть, какие способности у босса, отсутствие возможности взаимодействовать с чем-либо во время проигрывания анимации. Куча времени уходит на то, чтобы тайлы вылезли из колоды, потом их медленно посчитают, потом их сбросят, потом вылезают новый тайлы, потом при наборе нужной суммы убираются оставшиеся тайлы. У меня не получилось ускорить игру с помощью стороннего ПО. Это всё очень странно. Вы сделали Balatro с кубиками, ну возьмите всё самое лучшее и простое, что там было изначально.

I have been very pleasantly surprised by this game. very simple but rewarding gameplay loop. makes me do some light math in my head with some of the amulet choices and finding the balance between enough multipliers vs points. Cool depth and strategy in the tiles. Feels like most build-around strategies are viable. Even without having everything unlocked i feel every run is different enough where its addicting. One thing, could be completely on the player and not the game though, i feel like labels for whats rare vs. uncommon and power balance between those rarities seems inconsistent. Ive only played for 18 hours, but most rare amulets i have unlocked and get in my runs seem very worthless unless its in the first set of levels. They provide unique effects that seem cool and that i want to use. but how tight my runs are by the time the rares start showing up, i feel like i can never really risk it or the payoff is too slow for what i need, so im usually always slamming the duplicate amulets chip and trying to get 2 or 3 of my best uncommon amulet, and those have been my best runs so far. I love this game! Once you start playing, you get completely immersed in the competition for each run, chousing the right combination and purchasing tools in the store. The graphics and inerface are beautiful. Time flies! I highly recommend this game to everyone, as it offers a huge variety of runs and you can even make it onto the leaderboard!
