About Combo Card Clashers

Combo Card Clashers, a roguelike deckbuilder meets auto battler with unique card combo battle mechanics. What makes the game unique and different from other deck-building games is the innovative Card Combo Grid which allows powerful card synergies to be built every turn.

Each turn, you add a card to the combo grid and play all cards in grid. Experiment with the different card synergies and grid placement to unlock powerful effects. Duplicate, modify, and enhance cards to unleash more potential! Build up damage and slay enemies with no-nonsense attacks, blast them with magic spells, or torture them with negative effects - all in one turn!

A good team could also lead you to victory. Other than recruiting mercenaries in stores, you could also befriend monsters after combat to become your allies! Their special abilities could just be that trick up your sleeve to win the next fight.

The main game offers three heroes, each with their own unique style and strength. Customize the attributes of each hero and craft their starting deck to maximize their abilities. You can also level up, equip gear, find relics and learn skills to open up new roads to progression.

Embark on a journey, Discover events, buy new cards, upgrade cards, get weapons and gear, recruiting monsters and mercenaries, discover relics, and using strategy to win intense tactical battles!

Game Features:

  • 5 characters! - customize your hero
  • 100+ cards & 60 artifacts - build powerful synergies
  • Free hex maps & procedural generation - new encounters each time
  • Gear and Mercenary Store - You can even recruit monsters to fight for you

TL;DR: It's like an amateur Flash game from the old days. You can see the creator's vision, but it's not well put together. (Written from someone with 500+ hrs in the Rogue-like Deck-building genre, and won a run at least once at the moment of writing this) Personal thought: ☐ A must-try, once-in-a-lifetime experience ☐ A masterpiece, regardless of its genre ☐ The peak of its genre ☐ Satisfied ☐ Reluctant thumb up ☐ Reluctant thumb down ✓ I'd rather spend time and money elsewhere ☐ I regret buying this It's playable, but there are ... clearly unintended parts visible. The navigation is weird (like how WASD is usable in certain points, but not others.) The combat is on a simpler side, which is not necessarily a bad thing, yet some card descriptions are confusing. Elite combats can be more challenging than main bosses, so you can estimate that the game's balance and progression are not the best. The ideas are there, but it's in dire need of polishing to become more than an experience akin to playing an amateur Flash game made a decade ago.

Really enjoy this inventory sequence builder. It's got a lot of unlocks to grind for, and a lot of cool sequence combinations that can trigger various different actions and class diversity is really solid. The weak point is definitely listed elsewhere that the game has a very limited set of enemies, but if you come in to have a cozy fun buildcrafter game with class identity and custom deckbuilding there's a good time to be had here. It's wishful thinking, but I would love to see the Devs expand this concept out even more, and make a ton more content, boss variety, enemy variety, and card variety. The foundations for everything else is solid, game just needs more diversity now.

I had way more fun with this game than I expected. I played playtest but since then they added few more classes that added a lot more replayability. I love combo mechanics and I think there still is lots to try with some classes. So far my favorite is druid. Huge plus is that this game has demo so I definitely recommend to at least check it out.

Bought this game fairly early on in its short life. At this stage it feels abandoned and nothing will ever be added to the game. This game sorely lacks for content to be added in the form of more and varied enemies and bosses. After beating game multiple times it gets old fairly quickly. Personally, if this developer makes other titles I will be much more hesitant to support right off, but wait and see what happens to the game, before purchase.

Never has a title for a game sell you on what could be its only redeeming value. It plays a lot like a Slay The Spire Roguelite but where it separates is the concept that you need to use abilities in a chain to set off combos where the damage you deal stacks and you end up dealing a hideous amount of damage. That part works amazingly well. Everything else, well. The art is all over the place, there are mix matched assets basically everywhere, the story portraits will have you wondering if the art style and design change from picture to picture. I imagine way early in its production when they just wanted splash art they hired artists for that part but when in game assets were needed they finally found someone to draw consistent artwork throughout that part of the game. So visually it's really inconsistent and bland. The story is pedestrian which if this was a real RPG I'd be bothered about it but for a Roguelite less is actually more. I'm no Hades Fan so I'm not trying to play a Roguelite for a story. Three acts is fine, there's a couple of alternative modes, you get permanent buffs per run so if you are tired of playing Roguelikes where every run is just as tough as when you…

Not it. Gimmick isn't strong enough, art is just unity assets, flash animation looking, game can be frustratingly difficult up front with certain classes and I'm just not willing to chew through the meta progression to make that more bearable.
