About Company of Heroes 2
Lead squads through brutal WWII tactical battles where terrain, line of sight, and unit positioning matter as much as firepower, across multiple fronts from the Eastern European theater to the Western campaign. The award-winning series rewards thoughtful strategy with its signature cover system, dynamic weather effects, hard counters between unit types, and multiple playable armies—each with distinctive abilities that demand you adapt your approach.

PICK YOUR FIGHT
NB: multiplayer standalones allow you to play on any map against anyone owning any COH2 product.

The Company of Heroes 2 base game gives you access to two multiplayer armies from the Eastern Front: the Red Army (SOV) and the Wehrmacht Ostheer (GER). It also comes with a gritty single-player campaign that will give you a chance to familiarize yourself with the series core tenets. Step into the boots of a Soviet commander of the Red Army, entrenched in brutal frontline warfare to free Mother Russia from the Enemy invaders! Adjust your tactics to take into account the brutal weather conditions and wield the might of the Soviet Empire as you smash your way to Berlin.

\ Company of Heroes 2: The Western Front Armies\ adds two new factions from the Western Front to the roster of playable multiplayer armies: the Oberkommando West (OKW) and the US Forces (USF). While the former puts you in charge of an aggressive and powerful army with very specialized and elite units – yet in very limited numbers – the latter introduces an expeditionary corps that allows for a variety of approaches and very powerful combined arms tactics, but which inevitably falls a bit short in the heavy armor department.

Company of Heroes 2: Ardennes Assault offers a compelling single-player campaign for the USF faction revolving around the Battle of the Bulge. Engage in a dynamic non-linear campaign across the Ardennes landscape consisting of 18 scenarios, choose between three iconic companies, customize their abilities and bear the consequences of your actions as overall company health persists between missions.

Company of Heroes 2: The British Forces is the latest entry in the series and features this iconic Allied army from WWII (UKF). Experience a unique tech-tree that challenges the player to balance the constant trade-off between mobility and defense. Surprise your opponents with your development choices and an open end game configuration. Enjoy an army with character and distinctive units & abilities, from the Churchill Crocodile flamethrower tank to the RAF glider.

What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players appreciate Company of Heroes 2's graphics and engaging RTS gameplay, with long-time fans of the series finding it enjoyable, though some note it shows its age compared to modern standards. The main complaints center on poor optimization and performance issues, frustrating PvP balance problems and exploits, lack of customization options like hotkey rebinding, and historical inaccuracies in unit matchups that can feel immersion-breaking to dedicated players.
easy but i like
I am very impressed with the quality and graphics of CoH2....I have been playing CoH for more then 10 years now and I just purchased this game (via Ardennes version} yesterday and I am impressed
The game is not optimized, it can not run on stable 60 fps, it has no hotkey rebinds, and the balance of the game is very boring, and rage inducing. PVP is very frustrating due to exploits, and boring playstyles.
I really like this game, but it is not at all faithful to ww2's actual matchups and it shows its age when things present in more modern games simply don't exist (i.e. Top and bottom armour penetration bonuses for tanks, molotov's not serving their actual purpose as anti-light armour weapons, little stuff that nerds who play this would know now but not then due to changes in easily accessible literature). However, if you're looking for a military themed RTS with somewhat alright balancing in the multiplayer/skirmish, this is the game for you. Don't bother buying Ardennes Assault though, they didn't actually fix the balancing changes from multiplayer impacting the singleplayer, so it's a weird combination of brutal slogs and smooth sailing that's rather unsatisfying to play. Though, take that last part with a grain of salt as I DNF'd it about 40% of the way through.
its ok with mods >.<
bad optimization
