This is so disappointing. It plays like a mobile game. I don't understand why you'd take an amazing game like Men Of War Assault Squad, and ruin it. From the screenshots on the store page, it looked like a more modern, and beautiful version of MOWAS2. I spent hundreds of hours on Assault Squad 1, and 2. Purchased it, thinking it'd be a direct competitor to Gates Of Hell. AS2 is garbage, and I'll just stick to Gates Of Hell, I'm so glad that at least they're doing something right. Hopefully you guy's take everyone's feedback, and develop a new game in the future going back to your roots.1 found this helpful
Don't waste your money I bought it when it first came out and in 2026 it's still an awful game. go buy Call to Arms: Gates of Hell if you want a decent RTS experience.
Sometimes when I like a series, I buy the next installment, even when things look rough. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't. This didn't. I've owned this game for over two years now and occasionally pop into to see if they've bothered to pull it out of it's current state. It sucks to see under recent news and announcements that the last "update" is several months old and was just to say ratings in ranked were reset. This game singlehandedly was the deciding factor in getting GoH: Ostfront even when I was wary of that because of the CTA engine.
