About Conclave Virtual Tabletop

Conclave is a simple and intuitive way to take your TTRPG campaign to the next level, whether your group is playing in the same room or scattered across the realms.

Conclave is all about the experience, not the numbers. There's no managing stats or fiddling with complex mazes of menus; we'll assume you've already got the character sheets covered. Instead, we aim to provide a customizable space with easy and straightforward tools for you to build and play out your sessions.
Conclave includes an array of tools to help you on your journey, including dice, measuring tools, status effects, and a fog painting system. We've included some assets to get you started, but this is your game; your story. Who are we to decide what's in it? You can quickly and easily import everything you need for your session: maps, tokens, portraits, and even 3D minis!
Conclave supports the Hero Forge® Access Key, meaning you can connect your account to unlock your library of customized digital miniatures. You'll unlock 5 free minis when you connect your account!

Change time of day, lighting, and even weather and nature effects to get the vibe you want. Conclave's minimalist design means it gets out of the way when you need it to so players can focus on the story and experience you're building together.
Conclave aims to not only replicate the classic tabletop gaming experience, but also enhance it, and make it easier than ever to get your group together. Conclave is built with local multiplayer in mind, so players in the same room can simply pass a controller or two around. Online players needn't worry though, as Conclave fully supports Steam's Remote Play Together service. With just a single copy of Conclave, the whole party can play and create together.
Conclave is designed primarily to facilitate tabletop RPGs, but there's no rule that says you can't branch out. If it involves moving pieces on a board, there's probably a good chance you can play it with Conclave.

We invite you to join our growing Discord community, where you can look for a group, talk about your campaign, or just chat with us. We're looking forward to being a part of your next adventure.

SO CLOSE, BUT NOT QUITE I've been looking forward to this game for months, really hoping it was going to be the VTT of my dreams, but it's just not quite there. I'm hoping they will do some bug fixes and updates in the future, but until then I can't really recommend this, which is such a shame. Feels like it needed more time in Beta. I'm going to list my pros and cons here in hopes the developers can get an idea of what could be updated. If I see some of these changes implemented, I would be more than happy to change my review and make this my VTT of choice. CONS (** are things that basically made the game unusable for me) -Players couldn't get in via Steam Remote Play, were just stuck with a "Combustion Engine" loading screen. Maybe this was a Steam issue? A tutorial would help.** -A complete tutorial would be great. It's just not intuitive enough as is for most people.** -Preferences being a separate loading tab is odd. I feel like it could just be up with the other setting options at the top in the scene/game? Not a deal-breaker, just weird. -My tokens would just randomly slide around like they were on ice, moving by themselves, whether or not Snap to Grid was on.** -No idea …

If your just starting out playing DnD in a VTT setting, this isn't a bad option. It's a little particular about what it will let you import, but that's not too hard to figure out. It is a very simple (and slightly janky system) that is really meant to replace your physical table so that you can play any TTRPG. You still have to bring your own maps and pictures/minis and there are no built in rules, so you still have to be the governing body as a GM for your game. It does have a dice rolling feature that allows you to plugin your total requisite modifier, but I didn't really like it so I just have my players roll in DnDBeyond or on the Honor System. It does also pose a security risk if you let your players control their characters as that gives them the ability to do everything you can as the GM, so you either need to run a program to protect yourself while playing or I recommend just streaming it and you control everything while your players dictate what they want to do. Aside from that and the occasional system errors if you click around too fast while interacting with pieces, it is a very simple, cheap and mostly user-friendly system for those just starting out in the VTT space.

continuing to play this game slowly increased the water pressure of my urine until i could chisel through rocks. i am a god among men. my friends used to make fun of me for owning this software and never using it until i cut them in half. with my super laser power piss. hope this helps you make an informed decision on your purchase!

I really love the idea of what this did, but as a die hard tabletop player it feel short only in one critical area to my eye for detail. Referencing data has to be done else where. I set up stat blocks and all my unit information depending on the game I'm playing outside of Conclave because the lack of being able to put in data makes my life hard. But it is a good virtual tabletop game don't get me wrong. But i would love to see in a future update a way to attach information to your tokens so it is less strain on Conclave. Popping in and out is hard on Conclave due to creates lag and, it can crash in some cases but, all my unit stats and character information is stored else where when I use Conclave. Its good but the ability to add information to the tokens would save a lot of time and strain on the game itself Its just a thought because I've seen a lot of virtual tabletop games on steam that some succeed and some fail. This has a good core but, it needs some love with future updates eventually. I'm not trying to be rude or sound like I'm a know it all that is just my eye for detail from doing game design for so long.

I've really enjoyed the experience so far. But the thing that is bugging me is that I can't seem to delete anything. I tried pushing the button in the program and deleting things right out of the folders. Nothing stays deleted. Everything is going to be a cluttered mess.
