- Navigate a nuanced and highly replayable 6-10 hour campaign. Choose diplomacy without ever drawing a weapon, or take a more aggressive route when you can, ultimately shaping the public’s perception of you. What kind of Bishop will you become?
- The world of Consortium is very different from our own. Discover how different and why with the in-game "Information Console," containing hundreds of documents and AI-generated images organized by politics/culture, science/tech, space exploration, general history, and Consortium operations.
- Control an array of weapons, protective gear, medical equipment and more.
- Craving more FPS action? Explore and play many different gameplay scenarios within the Virtual Trainer (VT) and even make your own VT levels with our VT level editor! (Note: mouse/keyboard only). Share your levels with the world with built-in modding support.

Consortium is an... interesting game. It is chock-full of really cool ideas, but the execution of those ideas is rarely great, occasionally awful, and frequently baffling. It has the feel of an interactive sim and first person adventure, and it has an awesome setting on a space DC-10, but there is shockingly little you can actually interact with- even speaking to characters is gated behind story progression. Choice is heavily emphasized, decisions and disposition are tracked, but I'm left wondering how much they mattered in the end. There's a ton of lore, and it might be a very compelling world, but very little of it is presented organically within the game, instead buried in codex articles you may or may not read. The combat mechanics are complex (if clunky), which feels overindulgent for one or two short gunfights you may or may not get. This is one of those games where I really hesitated to choose recommend or not recommend. I can't suggest buying it (at least without a bunch of asterisks), but at the same time a thumbs-down feels too harsh. There's two things that unfortunately tip the scales into not recommended. The first is that despite clearly being meant to be replayed …5 found this helpful

CONSORTIUM is a fun little experiment in first-person interactive narrative game with a sophisticated dialogue system, extra layered 4th wall breaking narrative and great presentation (mostly in terms of voiceover). It's hard to decompose, but what makes this game stand out is its free flowing natural dialogue system. The narrative seems quite branching, and your available responces are fluid, allowing for realistic sounding conversations. You often talk with more than one character, with some characters joining in mid-conversation, and it feels a lot better than static one-on-one conversations you often have in AAA games. The narrative itself is quite deep, requiring you to pay close attention to the words spoken, and often guessing, gleaning important information from between lines. The story of such depth is inevitabely short, and sadly still buggy, even in its remastered version. And due to the criptic nature of the narrative, you're never sure if the bug you encouter is intended or not. During one of the training battles fell under the textures and found myself on a platform with a friendly robot. There was no way out, and I really had to guess if it's some technical stage, an…
