I don't understand the hate. The game is great, taken down a couple notches by a mid soundtrack and uneven weapon progression. On the plus side it plays great, has 4 player online coop, you can turn off the music and play your own YouTube Contra remix playlist, It drops regularly to $5, and the lowest current price showing on AllKeyShop dot com is about $6. Get a buddy to play with you and you'll have a good time.3 found this helpful

Contra is a classic gaming series, and this game is a disappointment; it's even difficult to recommend. I'll take away the positive aspect that it's cooperative for up to 4 people, which makes it entertaining and enjoyable, the design of their bosses is just as reliable as that of the original Contras and the weapon upgrade and customization system is cool, but overall the game doesn't work, and even less so as a Contra. Its movements are clunky; it's a reboot that ended up straying from the formula that made the Contras so special; the camera is awful, as are its graphics. The humor... there were moments where I cried with laughter, and others where I cried with sadness for having spent 5 dollars on this game. 3/102 found this helpful
