About Cop Academy
In Cop Academy, 4 to 8 players take on different challenges to earn points for their team, and pass the academy's final exam. Only one team will get to join the ranks of the prestigious Otterwa Police Department. And eat lots of donuts in the process.
Each team takes turns in sending one of its champions to take on crazy fun challenges in VR. 5 quick trials of 20 seconds each will test your speed and dexterity. However, an officier never works alone. You will need the help of your teammates who have access to critical information on their PC display or TV. Cooperation is the key, so stay focused and communicate as much as you can.
What do you do then?...when the opposing team is playing, and you have nothing to do on your couch/sofa/anything you are sitting on? How about trying to interfere with their communication? After all, real officers will face opponents who don't play nice, so why would you? You can also prepare your strategy for the next champion on your team to come well equipped. After all, good communication requires planning.
Whatever your style of play, challenges will require you to find your inner action hero: eat flying donuts, release chocolate bars stuck in the vending machine and survive a riot (and more!), to prove what a fearless officer you can be.
Do you think you have what it takes to be one of the best? Achievements await the bravest of officers, and medals reward you for reaching perfect success in a challenge. An actual medal. With a golden "ok hand" emoji on it. If that doesn't tell you how impressed your supervisors are, we don't know what will.
Cop Academy is perfect for hanging out with your friends for a great night (and is even better if you have some snacks to share). It has also proven to be a really good replacement for Rock-Paper-Scissors, for all you intense people out there.

"Cop Academy" is a poorly made VR tech demo... the idea is that this is a "party game" where you compete with your friends at various police training exercises, but in VR. Here's the thing about VR games... if the only cool thing about your game is VR support, then your game is not cool at all. Case in point, "Cop Academy". This features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and it's clear the developers behind this didn't understand that. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. Простой, но захватывающий геймплей заставляет быстро реагировать и использовать все свои навыки, чтобы выжить в бесконечном натиске преступников. Графика выполнена в приятном пиксельном стиле, что добавляет игре ностальгической атмосферы. Не смотря на кажущуюся простоту, "Cop Academy" предлагает достаточно разнообразия благодаря различным видам оружия и врагов. Каждый уровень становится настоящим испытанием на выносливость и умение адаптироваться. Система улучшений позволяет прокачивать персонажа, делая его более эффективным в борьбе с преступностью. Из минусов можно отметить некоторую однообразность в долгосрочной перспективе, однако динамичный геймплей компенсирует этот недостаток. Игра станет отличным выбором для тех, кто ищет быстрый и увлекательный способ провести время. Рекомендую всем любителям аркадных шутеров!
Well noone wants to watch me play vr and tell me what to do.
A very good party game for four or more players. The lack of physical activity keeps the headset not sweaty, which is great for local party games where you're passing the headset around.
