Cozy Escapes

TLDR: The game takes a couple of hours and for $5 it’s worth it to any gamer who enjoys puzzles. I got my moneys worth and I’m looking forward to multiplayer! While presented as a cozy game, I definitely got some spooky vibes from it, mostly due to me constantly playing spooky puzzle games. However, the game was a breath of fresh air with no jumpscares and a simple setting. I wish it had a little bit more background music to set the mood. Normally I would say I’m good at puzzles. This game challenged me into trying to do well and solve things on my own. There were many puzzles that I didn’t realize initially were puzzles (e.g., darts) and I attempted to do many out of order, rather than the ones where I had resources. The developer added “hints” in the menu which made it easy to follow along when I got stuck. I’m giving it some time before I do a second playthrough with my friend in hopes the puzzles are a challenge again. Completing puzzles opened up the world which made it exciting to explore. I love a good $5 game, but this one should be priced at more like $2.99 or less. While I don't think the game fits its title, the puzzles were interesting (but we relied heavily on the hints to solve them). Looking back, I think we could have solved them on our own but it would take a lot longer. Part of me wasn't sure if the game was working properly so having the hints helped to make sure we were on the right track and not bugging out. I only recommend it if you like supporting solo devs. Otherwise, I don't think it's worth $4.99.

nice puzzles, solvable if you do some thinking and atmosphere fits perfect wanna see what the updates will bring like how the panda squishes when you crouch :D

I am a puzzle enthusiast and this game is not worth the play. The graphics and game is super buggy and the puzzles do not make sense. I had to select hints for each one puzzle which killed the fun of playing and it didn't even make sense even after reading the hints. I think if this game had a major update it would be playable in the future, but as of right now its not worth. Sorry not sorry.
