Gotta hate crabs.

I have no idea why this game has an overall positive rating, those were most definitely given by bots. I'm pretty sure this game is supposed to be a rage game, which it is, but not because of the hard levels, rather because of the horrible controls. This is definitely one of the worst games I've ever played. Everything is bad about this game. It's so bad that I regret the 66 cents I've spent on this pile of sh*t.

Crab Dub is one of those small, eccentric indie releases that feels born from pure creative impulse rather than market calculation. Developed by Anatoliy Loginovskikh and published by Sometimes You, the game throws players into a bizarre underwater conflict driven by a villainous scientist known as Dr. Taco, who seeks to dominate the ocean with an army of mechanical crabs. From the outset, the premise establishes a tone that is deliberately absurd and self-aware, leaning into cartoonish exaggeration rather than grounded storytelling. It is clear that the game does not take itself seriously, and that playful irreverence becomes both its defining charm and, at times, a source of uneven execution. At its mechanical core, Crab Dub blends side-scrolling platforming with light shooter elements and arcade-style progression. Players navigate colorful stages, jumping across platforms, firing at enemies, and interacting with environmental hazards that vary from traditional underwater obstacles to more surreal stage themes. I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... Honestly: it's a fun but very frustrating game, the 1st level is the most enjoyable by far. With that being said i had fun playing it, however the lack of progression save does deduct a point. Additionally the boss level isn't really all that fun to play, mainly becuase of the frustrating controls/mechanics. It is a fun game non the less, though not worth the 3 bucks. Get it on sale, if at all, you ain't missing out on much, it's just another 2d platformer.
