About Cropisle TD

This is a card-based Roguelite game that combines farming and tower defense elements. In this fictional world, you play as a farmer sent to a deserted island to grow crops. While farming, you'll also need to build defense towers to fend off small animals that try to steal your food every night. During the tower defense phase, each cycle rewards you with a new island plot to plan your route and expand your farmland. Along the way. There are many desert islands and stranded islanders in the ocean. After linking them, you can turn the desert into an oasis, rescue the islanders, and receive additional rewards.. Once the defense phase is over, you can exchange your harvested crops for points in the store, which can be used to unlock and upgrade various towers and crops.

Game Overview

At least 5-8 hours of gameplay
2 major game modes
17 unique buildings
15 different types of land plots
8 types of enemies with unique mechanics

· Every round offers a random combination of cards, land plots, and enemies, ensuring a controlled yet unpredictable battle experience.

· All defensive towers and crop cards have individual tech trees on the periphery, and allow players to adjust the draw probability of cards during battle through deck management. They are also easy to upgrade, requiring no excessive grinding.

· Each round lasts around 10~15 minutes, making the game perfect for unwinding after a long day or a hefty 3A title.

· The game periodically grants you random island modules. Once built, these extend the enemy's path while also increasing your planting and building area.

· Before confirming your build, you can rotate and move the island to alter its path and orientation, fulfilling strategic and tactical needs.

· Both difficulty and rewards scale with the complexity of your island path—higher risks yield higher returns.

· Different land plots and crops provide unique adjacency bonuses to your towers.

· These adjacency effects can stack, offering diverse layout strategies based on your combat style.

Truly, one of the best Tower Defenses out there. It does take time to understand what's going on, at first. Instructions could have shown a demonstration imo. Just play it, and you'll understand everything a half an hour in. I could see myself putting at least 20-30 hours in. Hidden gem in every way. If you enjoy Rogue Tower, this is very similar, and even better in some ways. 9.5/10

Unfortunately based on what I've seen in-game and the fact that last update was in November 2023 the game appears more or less unfinished. I can't recommend it in this state. Reviews claiming this is "one of the best tower defenses out there" have not played a TD before or are lying. There are far better free ones available, e.g. fan-game Bloons TD X. + Potentially fun concept with island expansion - 5-ish towers with no upgrade paths to them (apart from +2 damage or CD reduction in perma-upgrades) - Some perma-upgrades don't appear to work - Main menu has no music - Suffers from some kind of a memory leak during play, I think, had game crash in the main menu - Health bars of enemies act real weird - No explanation for what enemy types do - No way to see what next wave has Even with this price I can't suggest checking this one out. If development resumes and issues are addressed later down the line, maybe then.

This game has a great premise and fun, low-poly, cartoony graphics, and could be really fun, if it weren't so rough. I played for just over an hour and experienced the following issues: - Crashed three times just reading the manual - Ability to pick land expansion cards that soft lock gameplay because they don't connect to an opening - Very little explained about the way towers and crops and various other mechanics work. I didn't know about the boost to attack power from rocks until I accidentally read a tower's card. No information about upgrading towers during play. - No description of what towers/tools do before unlocking them with gems. - Not able to access "Permanent Upgrade" section using a controller--have to use a mouse (even though at launch, steam tells you to sit back and grab a controller) - No music outside of levels - Only drew four sprinkler cards. For the number of crop cards drawn, that's not much. On top of those technical issues, the spelling and grammar needs work; I can tell it was written by people whose first language is not English. All that being said, It was worth a couple of dollars. I'd enjoy coming back to this if it were built better.

Buggy, but fun. Some things in the menu are not translated. Bottom right says trial.version runs slower and slower after the first round. Sometimes the dice don't show. The end screen I can never get to go away. I have to force close the game and re-open it. no option to rebind keys
