About Crucible
Dodge your way through the crucible of fire! Crucible is a top-down shooter game made by three DigiPen freshmen for their GAM100 class project.
You control a magical dragon in a trial by fire against an older, stronger dragon. Your goal is to dodge through an onslaught of colorful bullet patterns without getting hit. There are twelve patterns in all; you win by lasting through all of them in a row. See the true ending by completing either difficulty without using any continues!
Each bullet pattern can be cleared either by reducing the boss's stamina to zero or lasting until the pattern timer reaches zero. If the player is hit by a bullet, they can prevent themselves from losing a life point by reacting with a fireball burst attack. The player's score increases every second they're alive and whenever they come close to a bullet without touching it.

This game has some odd technical issues with its display and controller support, but is otherwise great!1 found this helpful
A pretty nice free bullet hell game consisting of a single bossfight, with a couple difficulty levels to choose from. I have 1cc'd this game on the highest difficulty available after trying for a while, but I already have quite a lot of bullet hell experience and plenty of Touhou Extra stage clears under my belt. I feel like the game could use another, lower difficulty for entry-level bullet hell players as well as scoreboard and replay saving system, but overall this is a nice little game to do and it costs nothing to try. And lack of such features can be justified by overall "smallness" of the project anyway. Definitely good for bullet hell enthusiasts looking for a moderately challenging bullet hell game to clear. Was definitely a nice experience overall.1 found this helpful
