Play as a cursed golfer trapped in Golf Purgatory, completing increasingly devious courses within strict par counts to earn your way back to the living world and claim your tournament trophy. Master roguelike-style progression across 70+ holes filled with wild hazards like fans and TNT, using 20+ magical Ace Cards to manipulate shots and outsmart the competition.
Play as The Cursed Golfer, trapped in Golf Purgatory after a freak accident takes you out as you’re about to take the winning shot of an international tournament! Legend says that playing through the devious courses across Golf Purgatory will get you back to the land of the living and, more importantly, to the trophy you were about to win. Each course is governed by a ghostly Legendary Caddie, who will tutor you in the mystical ways of golf to aid you on your quest for redemption and revival.
Cursed to Golf offers a fresh take on the golfing and roguelike subgenres. Make your way through a hole within the PAR Count or your curse will take you back to the beginning of the course! To add to the challenge, these courses don’t just have bunkers and rough spots but are also chock full of mad obstacles like high powered fans, spikes, TNT boxes, teleporters and a whole load more. It’s all par for the course in this twisted take on the classic game!
Being cursed to play golf forever in the eternity of Golf Purgatory has its benefits, too! Use Birdie-Eye to catch a view of the whole course and see what trials lie ahead. Par count running low? Luckily, gold and silver Shot Idols are peppered throughout the holes, smashing through them with a cinematic flourish will replenish your shots. Ace Cards will turn the odds back in your favour, channeling your otherworldly powers to manipulate the game in incredible ways. Scattershot, U-Turn, Rocketball, Mulligans are just some of 20+ cards you have up your sleeve to turn the tide back in your favour!

I've only got .6 hours so my opinion doesn't mean much, but there's a reason for the achievment stats to show 77% of players completing the tutorial to [b]20% of players completing the first boss.[/b] The game is too much of a bore for what it's trying to be. The out of place rougelike elements, the awkward camera panning and tight zoom, how slow and unsatisfying simply hitting the ball is. I'm a big KindaHardGolfdotcom guy so I have a bit of a baseline as to how 2D golf games should play, and Cursed to Golf doesn't even reach that mark. An arcadey golf game should make deciding how to send the golf ball the slowest part of the game, but here strategizing and watching the result of your action is just as tedious and unsatisfying.
Rougelike games are just not for me it seems, or I just play all the "bad" ones... I liked the music and the art style of this game, the gameplay was ok-ish but the powerup system wasn´t really good at all, some of them are really good, some really bad. And the gameplay gets repetitive pretty fast. A golf rougelike sounds like a good idea but it really isn´t. I guess if you really like rougelikes and golf games this might scratch your itch, but the game is overall just meh. More leaning towards the bad side then the good, that is why the review is negative.
Just get super stickman golf on the app store. More fun, better hole design

This is a fun roguelike golf game. I really like how it leans into some of the wackier elements. There are some technical issues but thankfully they didn't cost me a run.
