About Cutie Bear

Cutie Bear is a platformer game. Help the princess get home! On her way there will be terrible ghosts and monsters, but relying on her dexterity she will be able to overcome this difficult path. Collect hearts that will help to return to the checkpoint after a loss. The young princess is not so fragile, so jumping on the enemy can destroy him. Jumping over sharp thorns, overcoming rocks, dodging enemies, go this way.

-Beautiful graphics

This is my first negative review, and I'm really sad that it has to be this game. This game looks really good, the physics are ok, the graphics are just fine, the music is a little meh, but tolerable, and the controls aren't clunky. This is exactly the type of platformer that I would really enjoy under normal circumstances. But the game is also absolutely relentless and unfair. I found a way to get an infinite amount of lives (and even made a guide about it, check it out if you still decide to try out this game), and suffice it to say, 200 lives weren't enough for me to beat the game (I don't even know how close I was to achieve this, cos I just decided to quit). In Cutie Bear, you control a sort of red riding hood that can only jump to crush enemies, Mario style. Some of the enemies, the easier ones if you will, are sort of cultists that can run faster than you. Sometimes there are too many of them together in a very small space, but still you can manage to domino-crush them with a little skill. The real problem is the other type of enemy: the green slimes. You will face literally hordes of them, and not only can they outrun you, they can also jump, without any discernible patte…

Cutie Bear is one of literally thousands of 2D retro pixel platformers polluting Steam. This one has you jumping on monsters heads just like Super Mario Bros, but they forgot to add the blocks you can bash your head on. Which is a shame because that's what this game will make you want to do. They chose to use obsolete retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. Resolution is locked and can't be changed. It's notable that the only reviews for this game are from non-English VAC banned accounts with a tiny handful of games and a history of accusations for botting CS:GO. I'm sure they took time out of their busy schedules to contemplate this indie shovelware garbage. Or maybe they're just fake reviews. Anyway, this is just bundle stuffer from Daily Indie Game, I don't think I can suggest anyone pays for this.

Lol. In the screenshots the developer gives themselves a number of lives that cannot really be achieved by normal play. Movement is floaty. Difficulty curve is ridiculous. When you continue, it is always with 0 lives remaining. This was not a game meant to be played. It was a game meant to be purchased and then discarded.
