What a strange and delightful puzzle game. This is definitely a game where it feels like the creator had a complete and thorough understanding of what the mechanics allowed for, and there are a few puzzles in the game that really push the ways you can manipulate the characters and game world to their limits in a supremely satisfying way—there was only ever one reasonable, correct solution, but the puzzle has that feeling of "It's impossible, it must have been designed wrong" until you take that step back. With that said, the game does actually demand at least a little bit of reflexes and dexterity to finish. While it starts very gentle and has a near-perfect difficulty curve, by the end of the game it expects you to have a fairly decent grasp on swapping rapidly between characters to evade threats or react to changing situations. This isn't a detractor for me, but I think it's worth knowing going in if that kind of thing sounds unappealing to you. All in all, this is a short, polished, and well-executed experience.2 found this helpful
Fun and unique puzzle platformer that doesn't overstay its welcome. Gets properly difficult by the end, explores all its mechanics well, and I quite enjoyed the final boss fight.
The game is fairly short, but it does get challenging near the end.
Loved my time with it, wish there was more silly dialogue. You'll need very good timing in some later stages, too, so go into it knowing that.
Neat puzzles, tight controls
Frincess&Cnight is a compact but remarkably inventive puzzle-platformer that thrives on the unexpected synergy between its two unconventional heroes. Developed and published by Singlecore Games, it delivers a tightly crafted experience built around clever level design, character-specific movement quirks, and a tone that refuses to take itself too seriously. What initially appears to be a simple fairy-tale parody quickly reveals itself as a deeply engaging puzzle adventure where problem-solving depends on understanding how two very different characters can interact, overlap, and compensate for each other’s limitations. The result is a game that feels both refreshingly original and satisfyingly coherent, despite its small scale and minimalist presentation. The premise is as silly as it is charming: a princess has been transformed into a frog, and a loyal cat knight sets out to rescue her. Instead of leaning into traditional fantasy tropes, the game immediately subverts them. The “Frincess” is far from helpless—she can cling to walls and ceilings using her tongue, maneuver vertically in ways no ordinary platforming hero could, and even carry her feline partner in her mouth to move hi…
