In "Damien Crawford's Golf Experience 2022", play as someone who has the most basic understanding of golf.
You can't tell exactly how far away the hole is. You can't apply any spin to the ball, or attempt to curve shots around trees. You can't even see where the ball goes after you hit it.
You can pick a club. You can decide about how hard you want to swing. You can track the ball down to hit it again.
Try to complete a course! Each hole is technically able to be completed! You will hit the ball in the general direction of where you're facing when you select your club/power. You have to stand on top of the ball to hit it, not adjacent to it. You can interact with the flag on the green of a hole, and it'll give the option to save (as long as you aren't standing on top of the ball).

I cleared the first hole in 9 strokes. The novelty of this game is worth $2. I think there's more to be explored in the idea, but the developer was probably correct to not invest any more time in a joke/art game than precisely was necessary. The message of the game is that golf is confusing and frustrating for the novice, to the point of surrealism. It delivers on that premise. At the time of writing, this game has two negative reviews: - One person said it was fun, but that putting is impossible, which is provably false. - The other person said the game "doesn't work" yet attached a 12 minute video of them successfully completing the first hole in 13 strokes.2 found this helpful

It's golf without the trappings of video-game golf. It's an experience. Interesting yet meditative, boring on the face but still compelling. 10/10 golf sim
