✦ AI summary

Players praise the game's charming art style and solid, chaotic gameplay mechanics that feel satisfying moment-to-moment, with particular highlights being the dog character and strong performance on Steam Deck. However, they consistently criticize the progression system where upgrades feel ineffectual despite exponential costs, the inability to save mid-run, and audio design issues like loud beeps during dialogue that detract from the experience.

Disappointed as doinksoft games enjoyer: questionable progression, runs seed differs just by enemies spawn, side scrolling bores after few tries, menu\settings are quite none, achievements not fixed in a month since release, have no idea what could make average player keep playing this game after few hours\runs

you forgot the fun factor requires a devilish amount of precision to dodge tiny and fast enemies and attacks/projectiles including enemies that spawn in and can spawn under you with a kind of understated spawning animation while the character you're controlling has very slippery acceleration and a large visual hitbox and large hurtbox i was enjoying the visuals and audio until i encountered the "end of the dialogue window is a ear splittingly loud audio bug" bug i'm sure some duo out there is probably going to be able to draw a lot from this high skill cieling game but the skill floor is also in the roof so it wasnt for us

Disappointed with this one. Music and art is charming but wears thin really quick when monsters start spawning on top of you. Levels are random so you’ll never learn a level. It’s run based yet I spawn back at the hub world every time and have to watch the ghost and goblins overworld map every time. Gets old quick.

A very fun time that evokes runs of Kirby or even Brawl Subspace Emissary more than it does Contra. This is not a bullet-hell platformer that will task you with the challenge of clearing even a single level; but it IS an addictive and rewarding time. Spritework and artstyle are very appealing from the character/enemy designs to the backgrounds; sound design is incredibly charming, Single Player will entice you with character unlocks who each feel distinct; the roster is about as engaging to figure out how to optimally pilot as you possibly could make characters who each only have 2 actions and 1 'super' move to play with, from a design angle. This game is REALLY something special when you factor in the co-op; not since the first New Mario Bros. on ds have I cackled this hard getting in each other's way and making life so much clumsier and dicier for my teammate; this is a strong, strong contender for a game to play with a buddy when you only have an hour or so after work together or want something to play while catching up. While I enjoyed every boss, the large hp bars had me scratching my head wondering if I had missed some permanent progression "deal more damage to bosses speci…

The more i play the worse it gets unfortunately. So many oddities and bugs and unfun parts to the game. Their marketing and art and music is great so i think alot of ppl were excited for the game. Too bad it came out like this. And from the radio silence im guessing its staying a buggy mess.

I really wish I was able to sit down and play this “game” (what a stretch of the word) inside the 2 weeks from when I bought it so that I would still be eligible to refund. Genuinely just a boring game. Things happen and you have very little control over the outcome and very little is explained to you. The game is both mind-numbingly easy and frustratingly difficult at the same time, the problem being you don’t feel in control of any of the difficult aspects. Art style is great, though.
