Bad UI, and not satisfying gameplay.

It looks like it could be fun but you start out with everyone question marks so you cant even keep track of which person is yours.

I thought I was walking into a standard medieval RPG. I was wrong. I walked into a high-speed, pixelated comedy act where the loot is plentiful, the enemies are bizarre, and my primary motivation for saving the world is that the cult of Darkzan is personally annoying me. This isn't a game where you spend forty hours brooding in a tavern. It’s an arcade-paced adrenaline shot where you’re constantly swapping between "I am a god of destruction" and "why am I being chased by a horde of angry skeletons?" The humor is woven into the very fabric of the combat; one minute you’re pulling off a tactical team-up with your AI allies, and the next you’re watching a chaotic random event turn a simple forest stroll into a full-scale war zone. The modular hero system is the real hook. I started as a basic warrior, but after discovering characters like Ashtarzan—the "Void Blade" who literally tears holes in reality—I’ve stopped caring about traditional leveling. I don’t want a +1 health potion; I want a sword that creates rifts in space-time. The game even has an "Idle Mode," which feels like a personal gift for when my hands are tired from dodging lava rivers but I still want that sweet, sweet …

Darkzan Adventure is a strange little free RPG that mixes arcade combat, auto battling and idle progression into one very simple package. I play through a medieval world while fighting the cult of Darkzan, collecting characters and dealing with random events along the way. I can play normally with my character and AI controlled allies, or let the idle mode handle the fighting while I come back later for the rewards. I like the basic idea because it gives me something active to do when I want to play, but it also lets me step away when I am not in the mood to constantly control everything. The combat is fairly straightforward. My characters have their own abilities and attacks, and positioning matters because I can move around the battlefield while their attacks happen automatically. I am mostly trying to stay in a useful position, avoid danger and make the most of the abilities available to me. Special skills give me something to actively manage, while the auto attacking keeps the combat from becoming too demanding.
