Date Z is a narrative-driven adventure developed by Mass Creation and published by We Dig Games that merges high school romance, mystery, and apocalyptic tension into a single branching story experience. At first glance, it presents itself as a dating sim set during a typical senior year, but beneath that familiar structure lies a darker premise: a mysterious virus is spreading through the school, and time is running out. The player takes on the role of a transfer student whose primary objective—at least on the surface—is to secure a date before the week ends. However, as the days unfold, social interactions and romantic pursuits intertwine with increasingly ominous discoveries about the outbreak and the secrets buried beneath the school grounds. The game’s foundation is built on choice-driven storytelling. Dialogue options, exploration decisions, and character interactions all influence how events unfold. Rather than offering a linear narrative, Date Z branches in multiple directions depending on player input. Relationships with five distinct romanceable characters form the emotional core of the experience. Each character has a defined personality, personal conflicts, and their o…

Review: English, Polski, Magyar English Overall, I enjoyed the game, and the story is engaging, with the visuals being especially strong. However… unfortunately, one of the biggest strengths of games like this has been locked away behind paid DLC. I haven’t purchased the DLC yet, but I will probably do so at some point, as I genuinely like the game. That said, it still feels disappointing that the base version only maintains the illusion of meaningful choice. I would have appreciated it if the base game included one or two additional characters to allow for a more genuine choice of romance partner. I also would have liked to see some side romance paths that don’t necessarily lead to full dating routes but still add a bit of extra depth (for example, the French teacher caught my interest enough that I wished there were a way to grow closer to her, even if not at a dating level). I want to emphasize that this review is written before purchasing the DLC, and I will update it once I have bought and fully completed it. Polski Ogólnie rzecz biorąc, gra bardzo mi się podobała, fabuła jest wciągająca, a oprawa wizualna stoi na wysokim poziomie. Niestety… jedna z największych zal…

I didn't spend any money on DLC, so I only had the chance to romance one girl. Still liked it. The groundhog day mechanic of repeating the entire loop seemed a bit tedious at first, but then I noticed there's a skip mechanic for bored gamers. Good thinking, devs! Fun game. Short, full of nice ideas, romantic (as much as I don't like romances).

rest of the game being locked behind DLC is crazy but i got conditioned into loving Patty <3 edit: This is legit a GREAT Visual Novel with some quirks those being that you might need a hefty wallet to romance all characters but a sale can help you get into it and some of the art may seem a little off but its not AI thankfully and its just an art quirk of the artist otherwise great VN Would recommened to almost anyone
