After the initial dream-like stage, you wake up back in the desert. The world is open, and there are several locations you can visit, but the overall area is very small. The best idea is to follow the main quest, which is marked with waypoints so you know where to go, but you can still explore, fight enemies, and look for hidden pieces of gear. There’s some quiet narration throughout the game, but there are no subtitles, so everything is inaudible. Gameplay is similar to any third-person action game. Besides movement and basic actions such as jumping—which isn’t useful in combat—you only have to worry about attacking and defending. Your main weapon is a stick with two types of attacks, but there’s also a sling that can feel a bit too powerful. However, it uses a limited number of stones that you can replenish from large rocks scattered around the area. Attacks and moves are limited by stamina, but it recharges faster than you can spend it. Even if you mash the button and drain your stamina bar, you can still attack as if it were full.
