"Embark on an intriguing journey where a divine presence empowers a group of teenagers with a monumental task: to safeguard humanity from the clutches of malevolent entities known as Xempts. Drawing inspiration from classic RPGs of yesteryears, this game offers a nostalgic experience stripped of unnecessary extravagance. The narrative holds great promise, particularly in terms of character development, weaving a compelling tale that captivates the imagination. However, while the protagonists evolve, the supporting cast of NPCs feels somewhat lacking in depth and vitality. Exploring the game world reveals a landscape dominated by default assets, with maps that, while functional, lack the intricate details that could truly bring them to life. Despite the inclusion of custom music, its repetitiveness detracts from the overall immersive experience. In battles, the mechanics are rudimentary, and the skills of the characters, or 'Battlers', feel somewhat limited. Strengthening their abilities to align with their respective job titles and introducing greater diversity among their skill sets could enhance the gameplay significantly. Good game with loads to do. I didn't complete 3 of the subquests, and still played for 33 hours, so good value too.2 found this helpful
