It will challenge your platforming skills and your precision as you explore a futuristic megastructure built around a gigantic Tower. Explore hidden paths full of danger, find the original Sparks and maybe you will end the current Cycle.

Use your SwitchGun to activate or deactivate complex mechanisms and the numerous patrolling entities.Find upgrades to improve its powers and unlock new moves - like the Dash - allowing you to take new shortcuts and explore new areas of the Tower.

In addition to upgrades, many collectibles are to be found to lift the veil on the origins of the Tower: Sparks that unlock new challenging levels, Logs that contain memories of former explorers of the megastructure, music Tracks to build a custom playlist for Speedrun Mode…

I wish I could recommend this game right now but the inconsistent framerate kills it. Everything else is superb : the new SFX are orgasmic, the atmosphere is breathtaking, and I particularly enjoy the end-of-level personal score screen. However, my framerate is incredibly inconsistent, with highs around 165FPS and lows at 30FPS. What's even more troubling is that such drops can happen within 5 in-game meters of each other. And they're a pain in the ass when you're trying to make your way through enemies and moving lasers with your head upside down from an antigravity module.

The OG was one of my favourite platformers and it's even better now, the new level and other improvements are well worth it. Amazing game.

This is a great upgrade of a great game. The visuals are undeniably beautiful and the audio is satisfyingly crisp. Sure there are some details that I miss from the original (I miss the old title screen), but these are small and forgivable. The differences are a net positive. For those with a device that can handle it, I would consider this the definitive version of the game. I remember playing the original years back, and this re-release was a great opportunity to re-experience it in an upgraded fashion, and motivated me to get all the collectibles. Also, the extra level near the end was a very welcomed final challenge. Even though I liked the ending in the original, a small part of me thought "that's it?" I think it would be cool someday if people could design and share their own levels, Portal 2 style. I have read every log and seen everything, and the story still confuses me. But that's fine. This game is super fun to play, even if you're not into speedrunning (I'm not either). This game deserves to be way more popular than it is. I wish the devs the best and hope they can pursue whatever projects they want in the future.

Fun remaster of a great game. Has incredible movement mechanics for an FPS platformer. It's fun off the bat and has a ton of depth for people that want to dig deeper. Great level design which allows the player to discover different solutions to the problems in front of them. If you're looking for a fast paced and difficult platformer, this game could scratch that itch Notes on the Remaster specifically: -Overhauled graphics -Tweaks to levels of previous game. When there are changes, it often involves new design of obstacles that were not seen in the original game. -Brand new level which is quite tough and features a ton of new obstacles. -A large number of improvements to QOL (quick restart level hotkey, menu redesign for level select) Cons: Audio Bugs galore... There are a number of annoying bugs to the audio in the game. Doesn't stop me from enjoying the game, but would be a deal breaker for some.

DeadCore was one of my favorite gaming experiences 10 years ago and now I'm very happy seeing this amazing gem get a remaster. It feels, looks and plays gorgeously.
