About Death Point
Death Point is a classic stealth-action, which not only should inspire player but also surprise him. It’s an adventure, filled with excitement and empathy. At first glance, you get almost traditional game, tightly staffed with hard levels and various tasks. Instead you are immersed in a different world, fully associating yourself with the main character. "Shooting targets in the maze" suddenly turns into immersive story, tangled with details, with purpose and meaning. Character, whom you take under his wing not in the best moment of his life, is alive, and helping him to get out of trouble, you and a mysterious voice in his head will solve the mystery, which turns your little adventure in a thriller. You’ll have to get out of the underground prison cell, walk on the streets of a strange city, get to a ruined cemetery and under ground again before you ascend almost to the sky. He who seeks, always finds, but will he be happy about it? They say storits like this are based on true events. In our case, this will be based of future events.

Only two from your group have survived: you (agent) & she (operator). She is blocked somewhere at the enemy’s territory, while you woke up in a prison, barely alive, but determined to get revenge. The countdown has started. Elimination sensors are already ticking in your heads. The mission success & your future depends solely on you. All you have to do is to find the girl and call for evac. Hurry up!
Plan you attack by using baits to successfully eliminate step by step various opponents (including zombies!). Hide in shelters to pass by without being noticed or hide from enemy fire. Use a gun with silencer to quietly reduce a number if enemies.
There are various tactics with using if encirclement. Hide from attacks in containers & cases. Draw guards attention throwing a bottle or a flash bang grenade. Use smoke bombs to pass unnoticed.
To survive you can use any kind of weapon you would like: a gun with a silencer, a shot gun, an ‘UZI’ weapon, a land mine and many other things.

Death Point seems to me like it was inspired by original Metal Gear Solid. Viewpoint and certain mechanics are similar, but basically none of them are on the same level as MGS's that came over 20 years ago. You have quite original arsenal with pistol, shotgun, smg and then gadgets like smoke/flashgrenades, claymores etc to use. Variety of them and how they work is quite fine, along with ability to sneak kill and strangle enemies and move their bodies to a hiding place so enemies can't find them while patrolling. All over it seemed quite fine visually and as an idea to have a silent or more direct approach, but character you play as is quite clunky to control and when alert is raised soon enemies will beeline to your last known location, though it's possible to hide inside closets or behind of higher objects in level. Think this game would have been so much better, but in the end some level designs, bugs, dropping in layers from maps, horrible over flirting dialogue which you could turn off as they themselves probably thought that it's not so good considering it will repeat over and over again if you fail or die. A stealth puzzle game, where you mostly just bypass one encounter, then the next encounter, and so on, like this one, really needs a quicksave system in order to be any fun. Sparse checkpoints get really annoying when you've figured out how to take two minutes to deal with seven guards, and it's only still interesting to work out a way to deal with the eighth. Until that particular brand of frustration I can't stand, it seemed like this was actually going to be a pretty good game.3 found this helpful
This one is hard to recommend. The stealth mechanics are not terrible and are somewhat enjoyable. Alternatively you can just run around shooting everything which is a little more fun. It can definitely be hard at times (depending on how you play I guess), so if you like challenging games like I do that will be a plus. As for the story, its absolutely terrible with terrible writing. But the writing in this game has that 'so bad its good' quality which makes it pretty hilarious. The worst part about this game is that it didn't feel like they finished it and the "ending" is a total cliffhanger which does not feel like an ending at all. This game is definitely not worth it at full price, but discounted it might be worth it depending on how you feel about the things I mentioned so far. I won't recommend this simply because of the ending in that it doesn't feel like it's a finished game.1 found this helpful
This isometric indie stealth game is too frustrating to enjoy in my opinion. There is no quick save feature and the checkpoints are very far away. This means you will constantly replay the same sections over and over again because there are highly sensitive guards, cameras, and turrets everywhere. If you are detected even slightly, tons of guards immediately rush you and the level ends. There is also no difficulty setting. In fact, there are also no graphic settings and you cannot remap the controls. Another thing that makes this game frustrating is that the enemies are invisible until you get right up on them. You can only see their footsteps, which I found didn't make any sense and only added to the frustration. There is also some highly annoying flirtatious banter between the male and female protagonists that thankfully you can disable. Overall, this game was more frustrating than enjoyable to me so I uninstalled it and removed it from my account.
its a fun small indie stealth game, one of the best attempts a indie dev has made, way better than many competitors, would love a sequel fixing all the issues with the game. so the problem with the game is how the movement and unpolishdness of the levels feel. its a good game, just need mroe polish, if you want to develop stealth games or are a stealth conoisseur this is an interesting game to have a go at it poorly tries to implement mechanics from mark of the ninja, without properly telling how alert enemies are, how visible you are, and having an indicator on how the enemies are seeing you. weirdly it has indicators for cameras and lasers, but not for npcs. I also wish you could look further, its like you are as blind as everyone else, the Q button lets you use scan, but its not so useful because how much it depletes. Also the movement is too slow and crouched doesnt do much. play other stealth games instead
