It's Balatro combined with Wildfrost, with some interesting ideas mixed in. Your characters will attack once you accumulate enough points based on the poker hands you play (better hands give higher multipliers), and each character has a specific suit that will award more points. There are some interesting abilities for each character and the enemies. Treasures act like jokers in Balatro. I found the game enjoyable so far (a lot less frustrating than Wildfrost), decent strategic depth in choosing your treasures, heroes, discards, and hands to play. Performace on the Steam Deck is good, although I wish there was gamepad support.6 found this helpful
Was waiting for this one. Game is pretty fun so far, it needs some UX adjustments but the dev is super helpful and it's always reading every suggestion in their discord. If you like card games and always wondered how a combination of Balatro + Slay the Spire + Wildfrost would look like, definitely give it a try!2 found this helpful
A good effort and one that I hope keeps getting refined over time. Very playable, with a fair amount of strategy involved for an RNG-based game. Things I'd like to see: different types of starting decks, perhaps related to game difficulty scaling (i.e. no cards under fives for beginning difficulty, etc.); I'd also like to see easier unlocking of other leaders to give you a different way to play while the meta progression builds for new players. Right now it feels like I hit the wall in exactly the same spot each run with the heart leader. Don't get me wrong, this game is fine and very playable as it stands -- but the good can always become better.1 found this helpful
Great RL deckbuilder, very hard though, could use a little number tweaking1 found this helpful
It is incredibly fun. I really love the concept of blending Balatro-style gameplay with card combat. It’s deeply strategic too, victory doesn’t just come from playing high-value hands. Instead, you need to make thoughtful decisions based on your hero’s abilities, pet skills, and relics.
