Deep Space Tavern

[b]Deep Space Tavern[/b] is a casual clicker about running a tavern on a desert planet. The only thing I love more than sci-fi is a good tavern sim, so I picked this up without thinking too hard about the "clicker" and "minimalistic management" descriptors. The game itself is... cute. You wait for patrons to strut in, fire drinks at them to earn coins, clean up trash, and slowly earn enough money to decorate and/or purchase helper bots. There's plenty of thematic decor objects, but you can't place items diagonally in your octagon-shaped rooms. While some objects increase customer needs (e.g. "fun"), there's no way to increase or slow the flow of new patrons into your tavern; the only thing you can really do is keep your customers drunk and wait for more to show up. As much as I love supporting indie devs, and as neat as the base idea is, this feels shallow even for an incremental game. Great fun building out a unique space cantina, keeping the punters happy and watching the money rolling in! Love the little stylistic touches everywhere, and the audio design is on point. Enjoying it a lot, would recommend!

This game is really cool and addictive, hopefully in future update more stuff like furniture and stuff will be added because it lacks all that kinda stuff at the moment. Fun game, takes 5 mins to get into it but then very addictive! Has a lot of character too

I hadn't played a bar management game for over 15 years. I found it very easy to get into, and I quickly felt like a pro. I love the fact that I am building a business and decorating in space. Overall, a very fun relaxing experience.

I think a single dev made this game, which is pretty impressive. There's a lot going on in terms of all the character animations and different things you can add to your space tavern. I played for 90 mins ish and have so far built 6 rooms and set them up to be efficient as I can with auto drink servicing and coin collecting. I think that's the appeal of these games, to build a production system that helps you amass currency so you can... build more stuff!
