✦ AI summary

Players largely enjoy this Kairosoft game, particularly recommending it to series fans for its engaging dungeon-building and monster-collecting gameplay loop that sets it apart from other titles in the catalog. Common praise includes the satisfying mechanics, variety of monsters and evolutions, and charming humor, though players note the controller is essential for a good experience since mouse-keyboard controls are awkward. The main complaints center on the overly busy interface with constant pop-ups that feel overwhelming, the relative ease of the gameplay, and the dated engine's pause-for-e

Quite literally the one game I've been wanting to see made for years, done in exactly the way I'd hoped it'd be; I am thoroughly astounded it's taken up to this long for any publisher to do right by me in this way. Five stars, no complaints, silences my anhedonia toward games in full.

i have over half of the kairosoft games and i believe this one is for sure in the top 10, its really enjoyable and has many new aspects different from the older ones, theres so many different monsters and demon forms to play from so it doesnt get boring that fast either. i like all the little characters that come to fight in our dungeon. i would recommend this game for newer and older fans of kairosoft. 10/10!

This game can be poorly balanced, it will spam you with pop-ups you have to click through in some way (I do think many of these are relevant/important, but I get why it could bother people) and this game is clearly a mobile game ported. Those flaws aside, I think this is a pretty fun game. It's slightly idle, slightly casual, but has a decent amount of mechanics and strategy. Running a demon's castle (though dungeon feels more accurate) you create rooms, place monsters, traps & decorations (which do things despite their name) then watch as enemy adventurers automatically enter your base, and your base automatically fights back. Perodically, special tough groups of adventurers will attack, and you can also send groups of monsters out on exploration missions. The level of challenge is solid, I restarted my first run after a couple of hours after my overlord died because my strategy seemed really bad but going into a 2nd attempt, it mostly went a lot smoother. There's some fun stuff you can do with the traps & room layouts for sure. There's a ton of charm in the presentation too, with fun monster designs, funny randomly-generated names for them and other humour sprinkled throughout.…

An enjoyable game to play in both long and short sessions. The management and building being the focus are done well, very similar to the other titles from Kairosoft with the same grid like building seen before. Naturally, there is appearances from several of the previous titles in terms of monsters (some with a slight name change I think), alongside several NPC classes making a return for the adventurers who unknowingly enter the castle just to be knocked out by a tub within the first 10 seconds of entering. Would recommend if you can grab on sale or as part of a bundle as while its a good game, £10 can get you a lot if you wait for sales.

To Kairosoft fans: This one has an incredibly satisfying gameplay loop for me personally! It's most similar to other "build-and-battle"-type Kairosoft games ala Dungeon Village, Beastie Bay DX, or High Sea Saga DX — if you enjoyed those, you should enjoy this. I'm still not through with everything after considerable playtime, which is always a plus! I genuinely feel this one is underrated and deserves more love than it's received, it's really a treat. To Dungeon-Building game fans: It's fairly solid, but you will not get a lot of micromanagement opportunities here. Build a series of rooms and tunnels, decorate them for stat bonuses, dot monsters around as you like, and watch adventurers try to beat what you've built as you continue to build up your labyrinth of rooms and beef up your stronghold. The building is very simple, but it's rewarding enough and there's strategy to be found in how you build your dungeon, where you place your Overlord's stronghold, and so on. Traps, raids by adventurers, monster evolution, ranking tests, and other features keep things fresh during gameplay. It's a solid experience overall! (There also aren't many other Dungeon Building games on Steam right …
