About Naheulbeuk's Dungeon Master

Your mission, should you choose to accept it!

Embody Reivax, the servile (or not) steward of the Dungeon of Naheulbeuk. Years before the first incursion of fearless adventurers, you are tasked to build, develop, and populate the wobbly tower. Above all, try not to upset your master, the evil sorcerer Zangdar. Are you up to the task?
  • Ascend to days of glory and build the dungeon of your dreams!
  • Decorate each room with lots of objects and furniture to attract new patrons and employees!
  • Raise your reputation to new heights to become the world-devious dungeon!
  • Level up your Tripe adviser reputation to attract new customers to your tavern!
  • Display your most precious treasures to earn their benefits! Protect them from jealous neighbors!
  • As you grow, unlock new dungeon levels to expand and diversify!

  • Hire less useless personnel to work, defend, raid, and serve the evil Zangdar.
  • The world of Naheulbeuk is inhabited by various and unusual species, each with perks and skills – can you manage them?
  • Manage the expectations and the needs of your fellow minions to reveal the best or worst of their capabilities!
  • Upgrade them to improve their workflow and their satisfaction!
  • Deal with strikes and other acts of insubordination the way you like!
  • Handle Zangdar frustration to secure your fragile position!
  • As your dungeon grows and improves its reputation, defend it against adventurers!
  • Build treacherous traps and artifices to catch raiders and seal their fate!
  • Offense is the best defense – send your minions to loot and raid neighboring dungeons!
  • Want to eliminate the competition? Send your mercenaries and guards on incursions all around the land of Fangh!
  • Many factions exists in Naheulbeuk, try not to frustrate them to much or face reprisals!

  • Production is key to thriving and achieving a monopoly, so you will need to generate numerous resources to flood the market!
  • Tools, weapons, compost, intel, astral energy, and more! Stock or sell them to gain advantages!
  • Use the Crac 40 wisely to prosper!
  • Unlock the market, giving you access to new items and artifacts!

    ✦ AI summary

Players praise the game's fun Dungeon Keeper-inspired tower management gameplay and charming story, though opinions on humor are mixed. However, common complaints center on the campaign being too short, tedious post-game grinding, poor NPC AI that causes navigation issues and unit deaths, various bugs including soft locks, and confusing mechanics like the salary system that feels broken.

tried to give it a chance, but it feels less like a dungeon-keeper game and more like an off-brand roller coaster tycoon title. hire goons to [strike] murder intruders [/strike] do jobs around the castle! traps are an [strike] incredibly important [/strike] almost pointless part of defending your lair. manage your resources properly so you can [strike] expand! grow! lash out at the goody-two-shoes humans and elves and dwarves [/strike] buy cute little decorations that are functionally useless but still take up space. also you can't smack your minions to make them work harder. or smack them at all. 4/10. premise was there, but it tried to hard to be its own thing and drifted too far.

This is simply a truly good game. Very good music, graphics and gameplay. Funny story with full voice acting. Nothing amazing - I doubt you will launch it just for the visuals or keep playing the soundtrack on repeat - but it all fits, and most importantly it is enjoyable and relaxing like games used to be before the era of microtransactions and FOMO. A very rare experience nowadays. It's not very long, you can probably finish it in 20 hours, and there is very little replayability¹ unless you really like decorating dungeons. However, it feels full of content. Just not the "let's artificially lengthen the gameplay" content you are probably used to. Personally, I felt good when I completed the game, even though it wasn't much of a challenge. I'd love to play more but not at the cost of watering the content down or introducing gambling mechanics. There are a few bugs, some potentially game-breaking, but with auto-saves those shouldn't be a problem (I had to reload a save once, losing a few minutes of my progress, but it only happened when I did something unintended). I loved all of the QoL features like moving existing rooms without rebuilding them (even if that was seldom us…

Buy on sale. I purchased on sale and got my value, I could get more, but I need to refactor my entire save to optimize to push. You can clear the campaign relatively quickly. After that you have "Quests" to complete which begins a long grind. (6 hours campaign, possibly 20+ hours to fully complete from guides. It gets boring fast.) After clearing the campaign I was gearing up to chase the final quests, but got insanely bored of Guards insta-dying to Incursions, my Spellcasters not leveling up (required), and NPC AI failing to navigate to rooms and causing issues. It becomes pure repetition and "waiting game." There are many bugs still present. The NPC AI is abysmal. The game lacks basic minion information to avoid strikes or resignations. There are soft locks, SAVE OFTEN. If you want to 100% your best bet is to follow a guide and follow their layouts for optimization.

It's simple and fun, but it has a lot of problems. I recommend it if you see it on sale. And I don't know why the voice of this little ogre reminds me of the Dark Eldar's slave from Dawn of War 1.
