I'm gonna be real, this game isn't terrible. There's a lot of improvements from Riddled Corpses that make the game more intuitive, but the randomized elements went a bit too hard here. Health or money should be reserved for when you've gotten all of the weapons for the six. The two secret characters should also get new weapons, cause its not like they're really broken. They're supposed to be, but Valkyrie's healing is useless in Tier 3 when enemies are swarming you. The randomized money in general is really bad, sometimes I'll get basically nothing from a floor and that'll brick my run. This is mostly a problem on Tier III, where enemies(that like to swarm you) hit like a truck. There are also occasions where parts of the map are blocked off because randomized spikes were placed in the way. Your perception can be an issue as well, but later level to have more lighting, so its not so bad. The character (Gameplay) design is also really iffy. DPS check with a timer in a an rng level rogelike does not mix at all especially when it's littered with lava traps I can barely see.2 found this helpful
Buggy, repetitive, and extremely easy tbh, I beat the first tier without a problem and all of them are same but just getting more hit points. Your hearts doesn't increase more than 2 rows, you can print money by dying on the second round, and sometimes the aura's of the bullet doesn't even registers. Also 9'99$???? It serves as a spiritual successor to the developer’s earlier works, such as Xenon Valkyrie and Riddled Corpses, combining procedural generation, retro aesthetics, and a tight gameplay loop designed to test reflexes and patience alike. Set in a cursed kingdom buried beneath the earth, the game drops players into a labyrinth teeming with monsters, traps, and treasures. The mission is straightforward—descend deeper, defeat hordes of enemies, and confront the demonic overlord King Thosgar—but the execution turns this simple premise into a relentless, addictive cycle of progress and failure that captures the spirit of classic roguelikes with admirable precision. The first thing that stands out about DemonsTier is its distinct visual style. The game uses detailed 16-bit pixel art reminiscent of the golden era of the Super Nintendo, crafting an atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and foreboding. Each dungeon level is randomly generated yet maintains a consis…1 found this helpful
