This isn't terrible, but the UI is a chore to navigate and the kills just don't feel very satisfying. In a market hyper-saturated with twin-stick shooters, Desert Kill does very little to distinguish itself. Definitely can't recommend it at this price point. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIkPI1_TlZ410 found this helpful
Featured in my Lost on Steam New Episode!
Rather just check the video instead of read? Me too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Iiq0lBjT4Q I started a new short segment called "Lost on Steam" which features games that have few reviews for one reason or another. Definitely not necessarily negative, just games that slipped by people. This is one of the featured games this week! Desert Kill is honestly a fun roguelite. It has varied missions and weapons and each of your plays will be a little different. There are heroes, perks and weapons to unlock as you play and the combat keeps you on your toes with a bullet-hell ish design. You'll need to stay frosty on your dodge button if you want to get through all of the areas. I had a lot of fun as the merc named "Shampoo" but I think the real winner is the Dirty Harry-esque magnum shot man. Sniping enemies from across the stage is very satisfying. You have to be careful about your ammo usage and smart about attacking your objectives. It's the right blend of difficulty and fun for me. My only concern with the game is that the bosses may be set. For example, I think no matter what objectives you have in the first stage, you…2 found this helpful
The world as humanity once knew it no longer exists. Years of endless warfare, political conflicts, and struggles for power have pushed civilization beyond the point of recovery. Nations collapsed, cities were reduced to ruins, and vast regions of the planet were transformed into barren wastelands. What remains is a harsh and unforgiving desert where survival itself has become a daily battle. In this lawless new age, the few who remain alive are forced to fight not only against the environment but also against ruthless enemies seeking control over the remnants of the world. Amid the chaos, a terrifying threat begins to emerge. A powerful and ambitious villain sees opportunity within the destruction and disorder. While ordinary survivors struggle to stay alive, this tyrant works in the shadows to build a personal army capable of conquering what remains of civilization. With resources, soldiers, and influence growing under his command, the possibility of a new age of oppression becomes increasingly real. If left unchecked, he could seize complete control over the shattered world and eliminate any hope for freedom. As tensions rise, the deadliest warriors and mercenaries of the wast…1 found this helpful
Written By Hidden Gems Review : https://store.steampowered.com/curator/38624426/
Desert Kill is a voxel/cartoonish roguelike where you can see the rainy blood. 😂 The game has simple mechanics but still it's fun play it, but still early access with a lot of work for do, for example the aim of this game it's kinda off, hard to hit the targets. The graphics are ok but the visuals and the explosions with rainy blood make you say... woah nice job ! Also there are really good details of the game like the corpses become first squeletons and later dissapear. The gunplay looks kind of top down games where you have to avoid the bullets and hit the target but with a lot of guns for choose... will make it easy. If want see my gameplay check here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dd4hUamkjmE1 found this helpful
It has a simple mechanics but I still recommend this game.1 found this helpful
The game seems pretty straightforward. I am going to give this a thumbs up because as far as I can tell there is content here to enjoy and visually it isn't too bad either. This game is substantially better than the ones I played for this video https://youtu.be/UOhJ7eQ2wnU
