Destiny's Princess: A War Story, A Love Story

༶•┈┈୨♡୧┈┈•༶ The story is interesting, and the character designs are great. I enjoyed the art and music. However, there were a lot of cons to this game. Lots of spelling mistakes. Lots of sexual assault/rape. I'd pick a choice like "Tell him the truth!" and the heroine would go "Oh no, I can't do that!" and it was like... what's the point of giving me the choice if I can't actually choose that option? The incest. Oh my god, the incest was insane. Not only did her actual blood-related dad and brother have the hots for her, her fake ones did too. The heroine was way too forgiving whenever she was assaulted by a man, the only one she actually seemed upset about was the demon, and even then it was brushed off way too quickly. Her personality was bland and she seemed quite ditzy. Although I enjoyed some parts of this game, I'm gonna have to not recommend it due to there being more cons than pros.

As I finally decide to tackle my disgustingly large otome backlog, I am once again put into a scenario where I wish Steam would add a 'neutral' review option. But since there isn't one I'm going to say there's just not enough to Destiny's Princess to recommend it. There is nothing especially bad about the game, its just a 'meh' mobile port I feel no particular love or hatred for- probably helps that I bought it for sale for about 1-5 dollars (At full price I heavily discourage anyone from buying this one). Art style was pretty and that was really all it had going for it. Everything else felt very underdeveloped and average- which about standard for mobile ports. Story-wise it had an interesting setup but then it felt like it just wanted to rush from point A to point B as quickly as possible with just enough development that you vaguely understood what was going on, but not enough to actually keep you all that interested. It's a dating simulation game and since I love romance I love all of these. If you like games like this you'll love this one too.

I'm deranged so I enjoyed this game personally. BUT this game is not for people who are aren't okay with rape, incest, sexual assault, dubious consent, or public shaming. Basically this game is for the Dark Romance Girlies... Ladies you know who you are and yes the audacity of these Male characters did make me question the feminism in me. I thought the story was interesting and that the characters were fun, I was definitely laughing throughout the routes. I thought the characters had a good amount of sweet moments, some more then others. The Best order for story is Yukimura-Hanbei-Masamune-Kotaro-Nobunaga. The next list is for the level of triggering scenes/text from less to most. Kotaro-Masamune-Yukimura-Nobunaga=Hanbei. I wont even lie Hanbei's route was downright disrespectful You wouldn't miss any story skipping over his route if need be. This game is not for everyone and that is perfectly okay we all have our levels of comfort, the game does not show anything but the text can get uncomfy for those who do not wish to see this type of content. it's honestly not too bad if you read it with your expectations on the ground, or no expectations at all. :) It is Dogenzaka's game after all, that should be its own warning at this point. I can stomach a lot in fiction, too, so I managed to finish the game. (I have it only because it was in a really cheap bundle with at least a dozen other games.) It honestly has a good premise. I'm not going to lie and say that it's good, because as always these types of otome games always have rushed stories and (in the case of dogenzaka's mature rating) sometimes ....problematic scenarios, but I think overall I like the way it isn't afraid of using heavier themes and even including [spoiler] major character death [/spoiler]. Kotaro and Masamune are good, Hanbei is an ass (even after you figure out his reasonings, whether you are able to forgive him or not is very debatable).
