I think this has to be one of my favourite games of all time. Why can't you buy it on steam anymore? Edit: I whined so hard on several of their social medias that they fixed it. Rejoice Australians! You can buy Diamond Dan again.

One of he first games I purchased on steam, back in 2010. It was fun at the time. Unfortunately it does not support gamepads, and does not work on steamdeck. Menu inputs work but in-game inputs don't seem to work with steam input. So I can't recommend it.

I mean, it's... okay. Not really my cup-of-tea. I prefer coffee! It can be really frustrating at times. Somebody out there will like it though.

So I've been running through my backlog picking random games and this one was up most recently. At first I was about to write it off but as you get through the initial levels, the difficulty ramps up as they introduce new traps, more frequent block moves and much more deviousness form the AI. It's still pretty simple and lightweight, plus there's not a ton of content, but for the price, I'd say it over delivers on the fun to $ ratio.

Interesting Concept, Lacking Excitement. Diamond Dan presents an intriguing idea, but unfortunately, it didn't manage to hold my attention. I found the gameplay to be somewhat lackluster and wouldn't recommend it wholeheartedly. That being said, tastes differ, and what doesn't work for me might work for you. If you find the concept appealing, give it a try and see if it captures your interest. But be aware that it may not be as engaging as you might hope.
