Edit: finally beat the game. I wanted to like it, but its very janky. Fan service was nice, but the jank is high on this one. Get it on a deep sale, lower your expectations, turn your brain off, and enjoy the character designs. Score still stands: 5.5/10 At the moment I can't finish the game. I'm stuck at the first person mode after delivering the power core. I'm being chased by a robot and its too dark for me to see where I'm going, I keep on dying. Glitch on my PC handheld AokZoe A1pro Overall: 5.5/10 barely passable Pretty good game for a solo developer, its ambitious with so many different types of gameplay, but its super janky. Pros: 1. Character designs, great fan service, just need some "physics" for the female characters. Also great camera angles when your female characters is running lol 2. I like the variety of different gameplay, they just need more tweaking. 3. There's actual voice acting (albeit cheesey) 4. banger music Improvements needed: 1. Please have visual options (light/darkness adjustments). I could barely see when placing the core reactor battery. I couldn't see at all when the "zombie" robot was attacking me 2. Need more play testing, its a…8 found this helpful
starting a game with a doom clone!? pretty lame.8 found this helpful
Game opens with back-to-back 2D levels that are absolutely not fun in the least bit. On the 2nd level I just said nope, not wasting my time with this. The store page content looked so much better than this. Should have stuck with that type of gameplay. Will be requesting a refund.5 found this helpful
My review is solely from my experience playing on a Steam Deck OLED, but the frame rate is super rough, constantly fluctuating dipping as low as 20, the 2-D segments have really bad checkpoints and really unforgiving difficulty spikes. The Games concept is super cool and I appreciate the voice acting. But unless you have a really high tolerance, I’d either wait for this to go on sale or avoid it altogether.2 found this helpful
Did not enjoy it, has many bugs and controls are janky. played the first two missions and could not allow myself to play any longer. I know it is an indie game but from the promotion i was expecting a bit more. I do not recommend it,2 found this helpful
Dimensions, developed and published by Villano Wild Studio, is an indie game that aims to capture the boundless creativity of the multiverse by inviting players to journey through a series of wildly different worlds, each with its own mechanics, visual identity, and rules. The premise itself is captivating: every level represents a separate universe, and each universe reimagines what gameplay can be. Rather than maintaining a single cohesive style, the game embraces experimentation, paying tribute to the many eras and genres of gaming history. It feels like an anthology of interactive worlds, each one reflecting a different design philosophy, and that diversity is what gives Dimensions its distinct character and charm. The most striking aspect of Dimensions is its visual and conceptual ambition. Every level transports the player into a new artistic realm, ranging from 2D pixel-art homages to early gaming to abstract 3D environments that evoke modern minimalist aesthetics. This stylistic variety not only keeps the experience fresh but also underscores the developer’s love for the medium itself. One moment you might find yourself navigating side-scrolling platforms reminiscent of th…1 found this helpful
