Disco Samurai is a unique rhythm combat game set in the cyberpunk city of Disco. Every action you and your enemies take is synchronized to the beat of the music.
You must master the art of perfectly timed parries and dodges to throw your enemies off balance and finish them off with devastating counter attacks. Miss a beat and you’re dead meat — down here, rhythm isn’t just about style, it’s about survival.
Take the initiative and use the environment to your advantage. Shoot your enemies, kick them into oncoming traffic and smash beer bottles over their heads. Be careful though, as breaking health and safety regulations can go both ways.

The story follows Fox, a rebellious student who wants to make a name for herself in the world of architecture and fine arts. Since virtual vandalism and spilling pixel blood are more her style than attending lectures, the world of Disco is about to learn a new definition of "brutalism".

It's pretty good and entertaining. The gameplay is basically pressing the right buttons at the right time, but it's a lot more fun than it may sound. It feels very fluent and natural, with some options for ideal execution and customizations. To me, the game was decently challening on the middle difficulty option, and after beating it once, you even unlock a 4. setting, that's assumingly going to be a real nut to crack (I'm not going to try it). The game is not very big. I finished it's 7 levels in about 5h, which, to me, is about the perfect size for this kind of experience.1 found this helpful

Fun and quick rhythm beat & up. Had a blast going through it!
I really enjoyed this game, and it's parry-focused rhythm combat. I like learning each of the enemies patterns and getting better a grasp of each encounter. It's such a really satisfying game overall. The only problems I have with the game is that while I do like how certain ranged enemies can force me to dodge while fighting another enemy and continue their pattern, but they can be a bit too aggressive especially if there's more than 1 of them. I played the game on Steam Deck, and it supports steam input. The problem is that due to the back buttons were mapped by default, button prompts didn't show in the tutorial most likely because the game doesn't have prompts for the back buttons.
Great small rithm game. Similiar idea to hifi rush complete with boss battles and skipabble (if you dont like it) racing sections. Enjoying it a lot. If you like rithm games and hifi rush in particular you should like this.
