About Doctrine: C.U.L.T.
CREATE A RELIGION THAT WILL CHANGE THE WORLDFrom your first believer to millions of devoted followers — every decision you make will forever alter the fate of humanity.DESIGN THE FAITH THEY WILL WORSHIPBuild your religion from the ground up. Define dogma, create rituals, forge sacred symbols, and shape reality through the actions of your followers. Will your faith be enlightened and merciful, or ruthless and despotic? Every choice writes itself into the DNA of your cult- into history, into people, and into the hearts of your believers. Your belief system can be mysterious and open to interpretation… or unyielding as stone, refusing compromise. Your religion lives - and the world reacts to every decision you make.
TAKE CONTROL OF THE MASSESRecruit followers through preaching, charity, or manipulation. Build temples, train prophets, control the media, and orchestrate rituals that move crowds. But remember - authority is easy to win, hard to keep. One scandal. One exposed lie. One dead follower — and your empire of faith can turn to dust. People are unpredictable. Your religion? Even more so.
FACE THE IMPOSSIBLE CHOICESThe dynamic event system knows no “happy ending,” and every decision carries both benefits and costs. Economic collapse? Decide: the community’s poverty or spiritual growth forged through exploitation. Internal schism? Keep liberals and orthodox factions in balance before they tear each other apart. A natural disaster tests your faith - what will you and your followers do when the world says, “prove it”? Every choice has consequences. Some are simply better hidden.FROM LOCAL CULT TO GLOBAL DOMINATIONStart in a single city, then expand your influence across nations. Every region has different traditions, politics, and resistance to change. Some countries will embrace your faith. Others will fight it. A few will try to co-opt it for their own ends. Will you adapt your doctrine - or remain unbending? The choice, and the burden, is yours.COMMAND EVERY ASPECT OF YOUR CULTDevelop a skill tree with three paths: ENLIGHTENMENT, MATERIALISM, and… EXTINCTION.Choose your strategy, define your leadership style, and shape the world by your rules. Will your religion bring salvation… or ignite a new era of (bloody) fanaticism?THE POWERFUL DON’T USE MONEY - FAITH IS YOUR CURRENCYThe powerful don’t trade in cash. They trade in faith, influence, and obedience. Wealth is measured in followers, authority, connections, and reputation - volatile resources that rise and fall with every decision you make. Instead of hoarding coins, you leverage devotion: volunteers build your temples, loyalists secure favors, insiders divert supplies, and fear or charity bend officials to your will. This design enforces meaningful scarcity (population limits, shifting morality, waning legitimacy) and removes the comfort of infinite credits - you must constantly earn obedience, protect trust, and manage political ties.

Look, I'm not anti-AI. I don't believe having AI in a game makes it slop. I'm 100% sure that there are amazing games out there created using AI technologies; some amazing gem from a brilliant solo designer, programmer, or artist, that wouldn't exist without AI because you need all three to make a game, and that's rare to find in a single individual. AI art lets solo game designers make visuals. It gives experienced game programmers the ability to program 3 times as fast so new games can be prototyped and playtested quickly, and non-programmers a fighting chance at having game logic *at all*. I'm sure that somewhere out there, there's even design work being done by AI, because some highly talented artist has beautiful images, but not enough design sense to balance their game. AI unlocks the ability for these devs to bridge their weaknesses so they can play to their strengths. But you *gotta* have at least one branch, dude. You can't just rely on AI for *all three* and have it work out! The art shows signs of *careful* AI generation. Everybody has the right number of fingers, but it's clear there wasn't an artist behind it. I didn't mind this. The art was good and evocative (though…10 found this helpful
Pretty fun game with a lot of potential. It’s easy to get into and works great for a chill evening or two. The gameplay is enjoyable and you can see where the devs want to take it. Music could be better and doesn’t always fit, but you can just turn it down. Looking forward to more content. Overall I recommend it, it’s a really nice game.2 found this helpful
Options seemed limited and basically couldn't form the cult I wanted so now I have to go actually make one to scratch that itch.1 found this helpful
