Absolute fever dream of a game. Judging by the trailer and screenshots I was hoping for something inspired by flashback/another world... It's definitely not that, I guess at least it was 1.6 hours entertainment for the price of a bag of crisps.

Dolgorax is a retro adventure mishmash sprinkled with tons of brutality and randomness. Does this sound like a good Sunday filler? This game promises a retro-styled experience, and it sure delivers on that front. However, everything feels undercooked and way too experimental to grab the attention of the average player. The story is nearly non-existent and delivered unskillfully, plus with broken English. You still should be able to understand the overarching plot but it bears little to no relevance to the rest of the gameplay; thus, it is easily skippable. Similarly, the platforming elements also fail to deliver. Jumps and movement lack the precision required by some sections resulting in more frustration than fun. Even the map layouts do not feel particularly inspired. Still, I can't deny the authors some props for originality. The gamut of styles and weirdness stands way above average. Still, it certainly won't fit the tastes of the majority(especially casuals). Finally, the occasional shooting sections lack engaging mechanics. Simple and bland shooting will most likely disappoint even the most ardent pew-pew players. I could not catch myself enjoying any of those game fragment…

SUPER janky, inconsistent, short, completely nonsensical, and ends incredibly abruptly…but it definitely has a certain charm and style. I mostly enjoyed my brief time with it and it has some genuinely hilarious and creative moments. Cool art style too. Makes me a little sad that this didn’t have more to it and that the devs seem to have vanished off the face of the earth after making this. They had potential.

Dogolrax is actually an arcade game but with strong cinematic platforming elements. Mostly aesthetics and mostly from Another World. The atmosphere is surreal, the controls are ok, it has variety in gameplay, it's short but fun. Highly recommended to old school gamers!

This game is just plain weird. I bought it in the forever ago dirt cheap in a sale, and right now I am not sure if it was worth it. It isn't a broken way, it doesn't have game breaking bugs, it doesn't make you grind, the game is fairly short...but everything that you go through just feels weird in a "I'm not even sure if the author really knows what they were going for". The anime girls if pretty much bait, you don't interach with them in any meaningfull way, and they just fall into the background of all the bizarre things that happen.

An Indie Game that sells itself off its weirdness and smexy anime girls. The weirdness is spot on. The visual design and story direction is something interesting and is almost worth the price of admission. Almost! It's everything else about this game that is not great. To pad the progression, the game is full of punishing platforming sections and odd mini games. The mini games feel like amateur hour. They are half-baked, thrown in, barely working games that feel as if they had once been other unfinished game projects by this developer patched into this game because they didn't know what else to do with those unfinished projects. Meanwhile, the platforming sections are just, OK. Again, feels a bit like amateur hour in terms of development, but the visual gags and designs make them more bearable. Their biggest flaw is the game begins to lean on them too heavily. This game, front heavy in its weird neatness where you want to explore everything and even want to intentionally kill yourself just to see what happens, quickly gets drowned out into the background as it pads itself out with tedious uninspired platforming and crappy mini games. Then there is the smexy anime girls. They fe…
