DATE ME VILLAGE-CHAN
Doki Doki Ragnarok is an absurd comedy dating sim where you’re on a mission to find - and date - your ideal village. Yes, you read that right. A village. The game isn’t very long, and not every joke lands, but overall I found the experience mostly enjoyable. If possible, I’d rate it as mixed. It’s definitely one of those titles worth picking up only during a big sale. Story Story-wise, there isn’t much to dive into. You play as a Viking (with customizable portraits and voices/grunts) who sets out on a mission to find their ideal partner. However, in this world, you’re not dating other people - you’re dating literal villages. Because of that, "raiding" takes on a whole new meaning. Instead of simply destroying and plundering, you’re essentially flirting your way into a village’s heart. Naturally, if this brand of silly, over-the-top humor isn’t your thing, you probably won’t enjoy Doki Doki Ragnarok, so keep that in mind before buying. Gameplay Gameplay-wise, it’s your typical choice-based visual novel. The main distinguishing feature is the world map, which gives you the freedom to pick where to head next. game is good!
this game made realize I am a village and I too want to be raided 10/10
Short and fun. Play this game for the cute art and fourth-wall breaking jokes. You will find some great quotes such as ||"Of course, you can always attack England."|| Which is a hilariously bad idea out of context. In the game it's funny. TL:DR: This is a short lighthearted game that is easy to pick up and put down.
Silly dating sim that will brighten your day with its humour
Doki Doki Ragnarok Clear! Length: 86 minutes Score: 7/10 A visual novel dating sim in which you're a viking warrior who is romancing villages by pillaging them. Along the way, you encounter rivals, side characters, and Odin himself. All in all, a fun, if brief little jaunt! +Very funny, from premise to execution. Consistently had me cracking up. +Pretty cute and wholesome all around since it's very much about confidence and kindness. -Pretty short even for the price and there's not a ton of replayability beyond trying to get higher scores -Surprisingly high number of typos and errors
