Even though I got the game before launch and helped test it, it felt fully complete, packed with content, and ran without a hitch. The dev listens to the community — just like he did on the previous Dolls game — and it shows, as even my humble feedback was heard. He truly delivered on this one, from the polished combat mechanics to the original dystopian/apocalyptic ambiance. While I mostly played with a friend, I appreciate that it’s also enjoyable solo, unlike most indie games out there. I particularly enjoyed the prison escape map, it was a bit tough but I had a blast running from the dolls (be careful, the dolls can actually hear your mic). There's a lot of stuff to do from the main campaign, skins to collect, achievements to complete (with some easter eggs here and there) and different modes to play. It's easy to see the love poured into this game and the little details the dev took the time to put in. I look forward to more content and hope the quality stays excellent.2 found this helpful
(I will be updating this review as I play along, updates include some spoilers of the game and its enemies) After playing for a bit I do like the concept of the game. The skins and animations look really nice. I am looking forward to see more skins made along the development. The stat system and combat is good enough for the current state the game is but I hope more systems/features will be added like a parry and separate weapons with their own stats that are separated form the skins themselves. A customizable host's lobby area with chairs and furniture you can sit on would be awsome. I would love to see the combat system head towards the souls-like games in the exploration mode. I like the movement of the game. The dash and roll feel good. The Energy bar is very forgiving for my liking. Yes, the dash and roll do consume energy, ho…2 found this helpful
Played before launch as a tester, and the game already felt polished and complete. The developer clearly listens to feedback, and it shows in the smooth combat, unique atmosphere, and attention to detail. The prison escape map was a highlight.1 found this helpful
I spent an hour playing exploration because I don't have anyone to play hunting with yet, and I'm ready to share my first impressions of the release version: First of all, after playing the demo, I was really interested to see what direction the project would take. And I really like the exploration mode, to say the least! It's perfect for relaxing after work. The tasks aren't too difficult, and the mechanics, while simple, are quite entertaining (I got a jump scare from the huge tree of hands emerging from the ground when it emerged next to my doll). I also like the tutorial's presentation; the enemies are interesting and just the right amount of scary (it was fun collecting the moving bombs into the cannon :3). The weapon skins are very beautiful; it's clear the author(s) put a lot of effort into them. The only downside I can think of is that the ambient music is a bit repetitive, but since this is a newly released indie game, this is an extremely minor detail. I would also like to suggest some ideas for future updates: 1. Add quick access to emotes via a customizable emote wheel like in Minecraft, Fortnite, or Apex Legends. 2. Add a survival mode where the player and his frie…1 found this helpful
