In 1990 a Casual Game called ATAXX was released on the popular Gaming Plattforms AMIGA, C64 and ATARI ST. It is played on a square playing field. Here, the classic Reversi Game pieces come into play. The goal is to occupy the most playing fields. Dominate's simple and a lot of fun. It's based on Ataxx, a classic board game on par with checkers, chess, etc. This variant has 8 tiles instead of 7 and a range of layouts for variety. Solo or 2 play. I'd never played Ataxx or Infection (the original game this is based on) so esolutions' Dominate was a pleasant surprise for me. It's essentially the same game with some extra board layouts for variety and improved AI. It's a hell of a lot of fun and is both solo and 2P ready.
