An honest attempt to recover the feel of Master of Orion 2. There is even a stylistic similarity to the video cuts : -) There are new aspects to it too -- a mild research tree randomisation, ship design is done in an interesting way, a QoL attempt at reducing repetitive actions into more strategic decisions. I'm sure I missed some..

Loads of fun if you liked early 4X games.

It's pretty fun as it is and can only get better(usually) if it gets finished.

I first started playing the game several years ago, but stopped because it was impossible - the AI simply had too many resources compared to me. I started again recently because I thought its updates my have made it better. I started with the tutorial, but even though I have a MUCH better computer now, it was lagging in the tutorial! Not serious lag, but there's no way I'm playing a game that lags when only 1 planet and a handful of ships are involved.

Feel is very much like the old Masters of Orion 1 and 2. Took a few games to be able to stand up to the computer player (for me anyhow) Key of course is start as many colonies as you can while they are neutral and develop like mad then make warships that have the most weapons while having a high DR (defensive shield). Then make a bunch of them and go to war. Use chokepoints as much as possible. Play in teams with other AI players and you can see how they develop. Wish you could trade technologies with your allies! Anyhow I put quite a few hours in a few weeks and had a lot of fun. I did not find any bugs. This has been in development for a long time, and I hope it is still in progress.
